Looked at the video in PPeH.

But other (generic) videos/text seem to suggest that it may be hard to extract the liquid due to vacuum so it is recommended to push in "x" amount of air first into vial before extracting "x" amount of liquid. Won't this expose the N to air and potentially degrade it?

Has anyone done this and is willing to share their experience? I want to extract a tiny bit without impacting the shelf life of the rest of the liquid...

I have extracted it using needle. But I am not sure if it affects shelf life. Common sense tells me that it doesn't: it is probably designed to withdraw small amount by syringe and amount of air bottle has is very limited.

If you use a really thin needle, it should be fine.
