i think your username being cookiencream is cute but i kind of automatically recognize your user because of your tachyon pfp. i think there's a way you can change your username in settings? i forgot.

my username is monet cuz my screen name is monet and i like the painter guy. i think french impressionism is cool because it reminded me of my bad eyesight when i was a kid. also, the idea that you can draw things based on the feeling of a scene and the spontaneous nature of the painting style seemed really cool to me. pompo is an addon bc i didn't know if the name monet was already taken or not. i think i meant it as an abbreviated version of pompompurin.

It's a reference to my old fantasies of hope and achieving all of my dreams. "Someday or next time, I'll be perfect and succeed. Someday or next time I'll win, I'll have peace at last, I will finally be everything I've aspired to being. If not now, then some day or next time."

I used to write that down in journals as a kid while I doodled, because that's how I sat with thoughts of fantasizing about being a happier, far better person. I even personified the words "Someday" or "Next time" as creatures that embodied the potential that my reality would be everything I could hope for. So I made my username a callback to that, even though I hold no hope for my future anymore.

I'll start, Sergeant is a reference to a nickname playfully given to me by my late best friend while playing online games with him. The 45 came from my first username I used on a browser game in 2012, it also ended in 45 and just stuck with me since.

Although I'll change mine to make myself more anonymous once my name change date becomes available in August. So if you see this thread while that's still my name...... you're in luck?
