If you walk through the streets, all you'll see is people looking out for themselves. There is complete apathy towards others. No one tries to help others or make anything better. The wheel keeps turning no matter what. Humans are dominated by greed and selfishness. Anyone who is left behind is swept under the rug, people make sure problems are never solved. There is injustice and horror around every corner, there's no such thing as "it can't get worse".
