Personally I haven't. Seems like a revolving door situation. The therapists get richer, and we stay the same.

Sure talking to a psychiatrist has helped a lot of people. I heard some study showed there was no significant difference compared to talking to an uneducated counselor. Just talking to someone who listens can have a profound effect. Obviously some people have been fucked so hard by this world, no amount of talking will help. I still feel like psychiatrists/psychologists are con men/women pretending to know stuff based on very shaky science. Truth is we know shit about the human mind.
That is interesting. I am wondering what the response is from psychiatrists regarding these findings? I can certainly relate to sports being much more effective. Not being able to run at the moment reveals a new low.actually studies show that just talking is just as effective to fight depression as taking a sugar pill
more effective was cognitive behaviroal therapie which was just as effective as medication or 30min of sports everyday
i will post the source tomorrowThat is interesting. I am wondering what the response is from psychiatrists regarding these findings? I can certainly relate to sports being much more effective. Not being able to run at the moment reveals a new low.
I have but they all tend to get better and fall back into depression and get better again etc ( with the depression increasing severity each time it returns) , but I have not seen anyone completely "healed" from depression. It's truly depressing and disheartening to see their struggles.
That is the story of my life![]()
I am really sorry to hear that. How are you holding up? i am not suggesting anyone take psychotropic drugs but it can benefit sole people in the short term, have you tried it?
I have been taking 450 mg Bupropion XL and 10 mg aripiprazole for several years now. It had been working fairly well, but after my mother became bedridden and I became her caregiver several months ago, the increased stress made it less effective.
That's completely understandable, anyone would be stressed out by such a daunting task on top of his/her own issues. I don't have any advice but pls do take care and try to have some time to yourself, sending you my hugs.
That's right, no one can really help but yourself, but i'm not able to turn off the desire to die, I mean the desire not to feel pain.Personally I haven't. Seems like a revolving door situation. The therapists get richer, and we stay the same.
One good psychedelic trip is like years of therapy. If you have any questions let me know. I've taken psychedelics quite a bit.
therapy
I don´t want to end it. It helps me!
but many of us are simply demanding honesty from the world about medicalisation.
or they are good with some people, ...
My therapy is also being paid by the state. I would not be able to afford it otherwise -- it is a lot to pay for stress relief.
but most people on here don't seem to have unreasonable demands out of life.
