May you find peace in living or dying

I was soldered into
The middle of night
And my sparks did fly
A phosphorescent glow in the darkness
Authenticity, a ghost to me
Lurking past my bedpost
And the alloy binding me
Never relinquishing the muffled cry
Of intracranial captivity
Pain without placement
Muscles contracting without movement
Undisclosed. Uncategorized.
Chained to the internal carnival of enslavement
A futile effort
But made nonetheless
Because you can't give up so long as you live
It's decided for you
By the materials that make you you
"Knowing" doesn't do justice
Very few truly know.
Only the desolate faces
As lost as I
Sitting beside
At the bus stop
The blind anxiously asking other blind people the same morbid questions:
"Where's the ticket clerk?"
"Do you suspect this bus route is bumpy? Can I sleep en route?"
"Will you keep me company? And sit beside me on the bus?"
"Where do you think the bus is taking us? Will there be cake when we get there?"
It's a beautiful song; the final solidarity. The doctors have explanations for all except... In their final moments, they too weep the ending song: "I'm scared... It makes no sense... Please hold me while it happens".
No one should have to die alone. Let's sing the ending song together. It's our last chance, after all
