Venting Due to nerdy looks, i get disrespect constantly and treated like shit, because i look like someone who won't fight back... what an evil fucking world

i'm not extremely nerdy looking, but i do have that "nice guy" look...
maybe it's more of the nice guy syndrome.

and i get disrespected so much all the time and taken advantage off.

for example recently i got a new tattoo, and it was supossed to be a cover up of another tattoo that turned out like shit.

then it turns out, THIS NEW TATTOO turned out like god damn shit too!!!!!!!!!!!

why? let me tell you why...
i went to the tattoo shop to discuss my plans.
then i said "i'll send you some reference pictures for you to get inspiration from, when you draw up my piece".

so i sent the pics, right? she replied, thanking me.

then when it's my tattoo appointment... i go there, and i ask her "do you remember we talked about so and so?"

she says no. TURNS OUT THIS FUCKING IDIOT DIDN'T READ PAST "HELLO".

and the piece she had drawn up, i could tell she fucking did that like an hour before i showed up.
total shit job.

these are the exact type of things that people think they can get away with, with me..........

it's hard not to be suicidal when you have gone thru over 30 years of that.

It's bad that she didn't take the time or care to do the job properly. It's also something I could see myself doing- because I hate offending people.

However... presumably, she showed you the proposed drawing both on paper and on your skin before she inked it? Did you realise at that point that it wasn't what you wanted?

Not meaning to victim blame here- again- like I said, it's the sort of thing I would have neglected to do but, that was the time to say something like: 'I appreciate the work you've done but, it's not quite what I had in mind. Did you receive the images I sent you? I was really hoping for something more like that.'

Even if it meant going back another day, the hope would be you'd get what you wanted. Money would be more complicated. She ought to acknowledge it was her mistake but, might not. In which case, I guess you pay but, live and learn. Something as permanent as a tattoo- surely it's reasonabke to say- could you email me over some designs based on these pictures (paid for of course,) before I commit? That way, you're not put on the spot in the shop. Tattoos are expensive aren't they? I don't see why that's unreasonable to ask for.

It's true that people will walk over you and do a half arse job if you let them but then- there are things we kind of have to do in order to prevent that happening. It's not about being aggressive or nasty either. It's simply getting what you're paying for.
