Anyone ever considered it or tried it? Realistically one of the more painful methods I know but also one of the most accessible. I have a remote beach near me that would be ideal.

My father went the same way so I know it can be done, it's just going through with it. Also something a bit poetic going out the same way as my Dad did I guess.

I've gone to the location once before with the intention but couldn't bring myself to do it at the time. Probably need to take on some alcohol to help with the nerves.

I chained myself to some weights at the bottom of a bathtub for my first attempt. When the drowning feeling started, my SI allowed me to break any tape and chain I had put in place. And lifting all those weights was suddenly possible, too. I had tested my ability to do that under water and had completely failed before. SI is one hell of a drug.
So just to say that SI will suck, as will the actual drowning.

I've attempted. It's pretty easy finding a pond or a river. (Of course it's even easier if you 0 idea) Along with drugs to calm down si. But unless you attempted I don't think you would understand losing your ability to breathe and how painful it becomes

Yeah as both you have mentioned, SI will obviously be a major factor so mitigating it in whatever means possible will be necessary.

Thinking maybe about just swimming out as far as I possibly can so even if it does kick in, I'll be too far gone.

@PanaxMan do you mind me asking, were you saved or did it just become to intense that you had to pull yourself out?

Thats just my biggest fear if someone was to come across me somehow and call for help.

I think, the most scary would be the dark ;) ( and the cold would be awful)

i stood at a sea in the past, and thought would be nice, only one step.. but I don't think that it was deep enough lol...
i would only like one place, where I need to take one step (and then with heavy weight maybe..)
i'm sure I could find a place here, but I'm to tired to search for it.. and I have sn and a jumping spot, so I don't really "need" it.
(only when I find one on accident, then maybe ;) )
yeah can understand, that it's some symbolic to the same way than your dad.... that's why I would still somehow prefer my jumping spot, because of a friend (though I have sn... I would really like this spot and been there so many times that everything is well planed, that it feels not 100% right, to go with sn now, ^^ I also would prefer eating and drinking before, and not fell "ill". but yeah, if I would go with sn, then I won't follow the protocol 100%. And even before this friend, jumping was my prefered method.. so ...(never change aw winning team :D)
to the sn is for "too weak to travel"

It should be one of the most comfortable methods, if you understand how to use it wisely. A proper sedation can solve the issues with discomfort.

Did you try it on a bridge in the past?
Nah just in a pond (I thought the pond was smaller) although you could consider it a lake. If I walk enuf I have access to multiple stops near a river

So, did you walk into the water?

How did you find the courage to do it?

Had you been drinking or taking any medication?

Yep. I did it cause I thought it would work but si kicked in cause losing my ability to breathe is a lot scarier then you think it is (along with not drinking water) and I rawdogged it

How did you find the courage to do it? Was it just impulsive?

Were you rescued?

What do you think about jumping from a building?

I'm torn between that and drowning.

Is drowning easier to find the courage for than jumping from a building?

It was on impulse.
Nah just walked out. I didn't know how to swim and still don't.
Sure but have 0 resources to even do so and that'll take extreme desperation and I'll rather destroy my stomach then my bones.
Probably I don't really recommend doing it but if you have extremely easy access at night towards a body fo water that covers you basically 5 to 6ft of water well then there you go

My body of water will be the sea. Any sources on whether this will make it worse vs fresh water?

Nope I just walked out. If I didn't walk out it would've been extremely painful
After a drowning attempt, how was your stomach?

Do you have any lasting complications or aftereffects?

I already have stomach problems, so that's something I'm worried about...

It is a reliable method, but SI will kick you in the ass. I was about to drown at some point and I just couldn't get into the water. Felt like a nightmare. My dream death is cardiac arrest on my bed. Gone in seconds.

these vids make me want to try this 😹 but also im scared id accidentally die lol
I got high off keyboard duster a few times when I was like 12 and bored. Good times lol but don't ever do it unless you are actively trying to CTB. It fries your brain worse than anything. The people in those videos might as well be dead.

My plan I settled on was going to try severe cold with possible drowning. But that option, at least the location I want will not be available after this winter so if I was to do that it would need to be this year or early next year. I have no,idea if I could withstand it, but I was going to try.

If you inhale water it burns your lungs. This drowning experience you're planning is the stuff of nightmares
