Sorry I am just speculating. This is one of my methods. Just thinking how I could ease the suffering.

I think the only drug OP has access to is alcohol, which is somewhat unfortunate, because a stronger sedative mixed with alcohol would minimize deep brain activity to the point at which the fight or flight response would not be activated.

Correct: Alcohol and whatever you can buy from a small pharmacy are very much the only thing I have access to.

OP for the record I've heard that once the initial panic subsides (which should be reduced by the alcohol) drowning is amongst the most peaceful ways to die.

That's what I heard as well. Should only be a few seconds of stress, then I understand it becomes very peaceful. Can't wait to see for myself if and when I get there.

Yes its bad, when my dad did it to me I trashed and panicked under his arms really hard. Thats why Im collecting benzos so they knock me out before I have the chance to feel anything

THIS IS A MUST! USE ANTIEMETICS TO PREVENT PUKING!

I recommend Hydroxyzine, because it's easy to get it prescribed and is very effective. It's also a sedative. I recommend 150mg 10 mins before you fall in.

Use barbiturates or benzos along with the alcohol. Sit on the edge; don't jump in. Wait until you pass out into the water. I recommend FILLING your lungs as much as you can with nitrous oxide, and holding it as long as you can.

This will not only dissociate you from what's going on, but also will prevent you from feeling any panic or suffocation whatsoever, since nitrous oxide is an inert gas. Nitrous oxide is an NMDA antagonist, so it'll make alcohol stronger, too.

Once you exhale involuntarily, you'll be on your own (well, with the Hydroxyzine and alcohol and benzodiazepines/barbiturates to help.)

Thank you for this advice. Again, please understand I have a limited amount of money and no dealers to give me any illegal substances; The only thing I can get in terms of medication are drugs you can purchase legally and without a doctors prescription in average pharmacies in places like America / Europe / etc. Also within a reasonable price, not more than roughly 10$... I don't have a lot of money and simply can't afford more.

I'd also like to avoid any mixture of substances that could permanently damage my body in any way that would be felt long term, in case my attempt fails. If I do this I'm definitely doing it to get the job done then and there, but there's always the small chance that something goes wrong and I could escape.

I heard black chocolate helps combat that feeling of throwing up when forcing yourself to drink alcohol. Any input on that please?

I'm still here... for now. The date is slowly approaching. The world continues to burn down with far too little improvement in sight, reminding that some of us are in the wrong place at the wrong time in history. I pity yet respect those who will stay behind to watch this society and planet descend into total chaos and destruction. I can't leave it to next year's trip and risk another year of watching everything be destroyed around me: I will most likely go for it still.

I made a few upgrades to my plan in my mind. I'm likely going to buy myself one of those cheap plastic life-vests you inflate with your mouth. I'm going to wear it under my shirt and use it to make sure I can swim far enough in my state. Once I'm far, I'm going to open its valve or pop it with a sharp object I'll have in my pocket. For added effect I'm planning to put a few rocks in my pockets too which are found everywhere across the beach.

I managed to obtain the medicine I needed. It's a set of prochlorperazine based anti-vomit pills, which as an added bonus have a powerful sedative effect. They're normally only available with a doctor's prescription... thankfully the pharmacist only asked who they're for, if you say it's for car sickness and a doctor gave you the okay you're good to go. This should further ensure that despite having permanent alcohol poisoning, I will have no issues going up to 0.5L of 40% vodka.

The exact date has also been established. I won't offer it here... knowing will only place a burden on those reading this, plus I don't want to increase the highly unlikely chances of being identified. But it's soon... I don't have a lot left to stick around. This might be my last message here.

There's a lot I would have liked to say. From what's happening in the world that led to my decision, to the long road of struggles I faced in my mind until fully accepting this choice and being so happy with it now. I'd have liked to share what I've seen and learned during my life here... but perhaps it's for the best I keep that for where I'm going if I retain my memories, so they know how to avoid doing the mistakes as this young and stupid society. I wish you luck in dealing with the world that awaits those staying behind in the coming years. I thank everyone here and beyond for their support... I will remember all.

The attempt took place on 03-09-2019. It failed, which to be fair doesn't surprise me all that much now, but I still took it according to the plan. You can read up on exactly what happened over here:

i almost drowned when i was about 4... in a pool when my circle float turned upside down with my legs in the air... apparently my mom was distracted (she said) and jumped in to save me (okay she is my mom so i can't blame her)... but i do remember my lungs only hurt for a minute ish, not excruciating pain but extremely uncomfortable then it changed... the edges of my vision turned black then my whole vision went dark, i felt peaceful but then my mom pulled me out.

I've looked at a lot of water related ctb...
dehydration, hypothermia in cold river, drunk in bathtub...
frankly i like the idea...
but not the ocean with scary sharks that could bite off a limb before i'm even dead completely freaks me out...
Aren't you scared of the sharks? if you still do it in the ocean, i hope at least somehow be in something like a cage where creatures don't tear off your body?

That's an interesting experience, thanks for sharing. It's how I imagined it would be as well based on what I read: Uncomfortable at first then you get used to it and it becomes relaxing. I hear it's especially okay in salt water, you can't inhale that... sweet water can get into the lungs and cause pain and internal bleeding.

One thing I forgot to mention: It wasn't in the ocean, it was at the sea... the Black Sea in Romania to be precise. I used some synonyms before my attempt as to not risk making my identity obvious. There are no sharks here, especially no dangerous ones... only dolphins. I don't think I'd even get close to water with sharks.
