Discussion Does anyone wish they were terminally ill?

Yes, all the time. There are so many in this world who wish to live but die and I wish to die , but I am forced to live.

I won't lie, when I started seeing my health decline recently, I was hoping for a brain tumour or something incurable. At least that way I could die without guilt.

Turns out the only thing they could find is the brain damage from 10 years ago that they failed to tell me the full extent of or give me ANY further treatment for. No explanation for why it's getting worse, just "oh hey, your brain's fucked. Sucks to be you."

My answer is a mix of yes and no.

yes - it would undoubtedly be easier on my family

no - I want to make the choice for myself and reserve to die as peaceful a death as possible rather than let some horrifying disease take me

it's a thought-provoking question for sure.

Yeah cause then I'd have an extra reason for ctb. I mean not to be rude or anything but I think we can objectively agree that a terminal illness is not something nice to live with

Oh yeah, if this was an option, it would be by far the best one. Wouldn't even hesitate, might as well let someone else get good out of it if I'm not using it, lol.

It's sad it's not reality. It seems people who want to live die in accidents or get terminal illness yet here were all are wanting to die..life is cruel and unfair. I would give anything to give my life to someone dying...my genetic longevity too that's wasted on me but lots of people would want it!

You know what? I've never believed in a diety before, but I think I do now. Pretty sure there's something out there, but whatever it is has a really, REALLY dark sense of humour.

I'm am atheist but if god exists he is a sadist. Why all this needless suffering? Why can't we just go have eternal bliss..or in my case I hope for nothingness. Sometimes it makes me think...is there really a dieity out there watching this madness on earth? It's interesting topic to think about.
