Hello! I wanted to ask this because I am very interested in it, in fact ive been practicing and researching for years. However I will like to make it clear i am not completely set on one religion, in fact Im the type of person to look into every religion! I have buddhist symbols, Catholic/Christian symbols, Wiccan symbols and Scientific studies all over my room because just the thought of a powerful being out there is interesting to me :) However i do believe in evolution and space n such lol!!
Anyways though to my main point ive had these tarot cards for years, and recently I have been extremely suicidal more than ever, which is why I came back to this forum for help. Today while doing my reading, I got the card Death. Ive also been getting The Tower, The Devil, and overall very bad signs. Other times though it tells me that "new beginnings are coming" but Im not so sure. My readings however are abnormally accurate, as most of the stuff really coincides with my life, so maybe my time is coming soon?
I just was also wondering if people do believe i religion where what do they think will happen to them once they successfully ctb?
The first time the hospital contacted my family about my suicidal desires, I was told to start praying and itll go away, however ive never felt comfort from Jesus, but I do like to imagine the Mother of Jesus, Virgencita, but only because I never had a mom to begin with so its nice to imagine a mother does care about me.
I also take pride in meditating from both a wiccan and buddhist standpoint. The opportunity to calm down and take everything in while reflecting on what i do, while also "recharging" myself.
In all honesty, religion is just for comfort. I hope when I die I have nothing to experience or feel or do, its just eternal blackness and nothing.

I used to be religious; I'm not anymore. Although I consider myself an atheist, I'm not a classic atheist. I'm very interested in occultism and symbolism I think those are powerful tools for transmitting ideas and unconscious thought. If you learn a lot about psychoanalysis, Freud and Jung relied heavily on them. i don't believe in the afterlife tho

In my perspective, death is a gamble for people that don't know what will happen to them, that is...if they don't have any strong tie to any religions.

In the occult way,the major theory is that the religion you believed in the most will take care of you, care as in "you will go through their processes and meet their respective spirits/guides".

Ah,if you don't mind me asking, tarot is great for intuition training, but you could also try banishing or even exploring religion beyond texts?
It's better to see japan for yourself than to only read about it,it's what i think. Sorry for rambling.

I've never been religious. All religions are beliefs but none of their claims was ever proven and probably cannot be proven any time soon. They are beliefs not physical reality.

I used to think I was close to God
Prayed
Found clarity. Thought God spoke to me.

But I have been evil at times. I don't know how both things are true.

I don't believe in anything at the moment. I've tried to get closer to Catholicism, my family's religion, but to no avail. Right now, I don't believe in anything at all; we're simply insignificant beings trying to find answers in something as silly as a god who doesn't exist

i recommend looking into the philosophy/writings of philosophers who belonged to any religion and see how they deduct the existence of a god. the quote beneath my name is from a christian philosopher's description of god. i find it valuable for anyone who questions their faith to any religion.

its not solid proof but the whole point of philosophy is to figure out how the world around us works, since we have little to no tangible evidence or proof to work off of. im also not saying you'll find what you're looking for there, its just a suggestion. its up to you if you find worth in it or not.

Growing up I used to believe in God, I wasn't a full on Christian going to church every Sunday but I simply believed without thinking about it for a long time.

When I got to high school however I got this really poisonous mindset that God hated me and he was the reason I suffered so much. It didn't happen over night but when I simply became an Athiest and stopped believing in God that negative mindset went away.

Still an Athiest all these years later and while I do respect people that are religious I personally never want to believe in any kind of God or religion again.

Honestly yeah, I dont understand why people say hes an all loving all caring god but allows multiple genocides and mass casualties to happen around the world. Its purely for comfort of those who are privileged enough, but i respect those who turn to it for comfort

I was raised Anglican and like many Prod kids with a very loose church, I shrugged off the sing-songy, lovey-dovey stuff pretty early on. I suppose I'm an Orthodox Christian at heart, though the Holy Trinity as I understand it is comprised of the divine spark present in every human being. I want to trust the Logos, but I just can't bring myself to it with the state of the world. My Telos is absent and struggle as I might, I can't right myself. I'm banking on the Cosmos.

i've never been religious personally. there had been traumatic events and cultural influences in my life. i've prayed to the moon and use good luck charms like omamori.

although i've never 100% believed anything. it's more of a feeling like "what if it is real?" so i use it to cope subconsciously lol

pretty far into the atheistic naturalism camp, have been for years.

I do have a penchant for Satanism and all that, but nothing that doesn't boil down to shared philosophy and aesthetics.

the bus leads exactly where it dropoed me off the first time, no consciousness experience, just like before being born... and honestly, I have too much of a fuck you attitude to even conform with religion in the first place.

I personally don't believe in anything outside of what my senses perceive. But I do know there's a world in our world that we are not able to feel.

I was raised as an orthodox Christian but I suppose since a young age i've always kind of felt like I didn't really fit in and I was faking being a Christian. I guess i'd now consider myself to be agnostic. My relationship with religion is very complex and I feel really confused. I have always really wanted to believe, but truthfully, i'm just not sure that I do at this point.
