Discussion Does anyone know you use this forum?

I haven't mentioned it to anyone I know, but I occasionally wonder if anyone I know is aware of what SaSu is or even if they may be a user themselves. However, I don't think I would ever personally bring it up around anyone and keep my usage my own secret as I enjoy the anonymity. But I also do fear the sort of reaction that I may receive if it were to be found out I frequent this site. Primarily in a "I don't want word getting to someone in my IRL life and end up heavily monitored as a result." sort of way.

It's a question I don't think I would ever have answered because of those reasons, but I am curious of if any other users have similar thoughts and about if anyone does know you use this site or even if any users know each other personally outside of it (mainly in the case of you didn't meet through SaSu.)

I told my mother about it. She doesn't get why i am suicidal but a good mother sees her children as perfect even though i am so ugly in 43 years i never caught the attention of woman.

I guess for younger people it's bad if anyone finds out so please be careful.

It can be difficult to not have someone understand you, especially a parent.

A friend of mine told she doesn't like it bc it triggers her, but she said it's good if I use it for other purposes (meeting people, venting, recovering).

Yes, it led to being put through counseling and metal health "help" i had to change my username and change everything that related to it, it was months of that bs and I regret anyone ever finding it, just keep it private, its not worth the hassle.

Yeah, having to go through that involuntarily sounds rough. Sorry that happened to you.

Don't be discouraged from talking about it, just make sure people dont find it without you want them to, if you get what I mean.

I told some people that I am on here. My closest friends know my username and the name of this website. But in front of therapists or mental health professionals in general I never mentioned the name Sanctioned Suicide. Being on a suicide forum is vague but as the same time concrete enough.

For having to change your username. Have they found your account without mentioning your username? This is something that would surprise me a lot. This detective work. This forum is not well known in the country I live though.

I tend to be very selective about my feelings related to these things in general, so I think I will be alright.

A friend I used to be close with found my account on this website, they saw a post about me venting, It led to them screenshotting and sending it to a mental health clinic thing, genuinely impressed they went that far but hey, I guess they were trying to help

I had told one person in the past I would visit a self harm forum (that now no longer exists) and it was taken as I was gaining enjoyment from others hurting when really it was more I felt comforted by others and it helped me from causing too much damage to myself. So I try not to share further about these things so I don't get misunderstood as part of it.

I told my Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Mother and a couple of drug users that I am on this website. They probably don't even remember, which is both good and bad.

So true. She is a very thoughtful person and is very understanding but even she has limits.

No, nobody knows I use this site, although my best friend and my mum know I'm on a gore forum XD but they couldn't care less what I get up to online
