Was there a time in your life that you can remember , a time when things were in your favor? If so, do you want that life back?

They say youth is wasted on the young. I'd agree with that statement.
Thing is if I could get old times back without the knowledge I have now there is no guarantee things would have turned out any better.
When you're a kid you're shaped by the decisions and actions of others more than yourself.
By the time you're old enough for autonomy (whatever that really means) you're already f***ed. - IMO.
So yeah it'd be great to go back to being 17 and drinking and partying without responsibilities and the crippling weight of depression, but I never thought those times were real horror show back then either.
In fact I rember being young thinking: 'things will be better when you're older' and now I'm 'older' I'm thinking, 'things were better back then.'
I wasn't dealt the best hand and didn't really understand the game till too late (no tutorial provided) so for me at just about every stage it's been pretty junk (apart from that period when you're impressed by the colour, shape, pictures etc on the cards, not what they really mean... But that was when I was a dribbling infant, as opposed to the emotionally and professionally dribbling adult I am now... Yeah 'lol')

From about 2 up until 19 years are the reason I'm the shape I am today, despite being in a relatively good situation, which kills me. So I don't want to go back, but there were short times when things were going pretty great, like when I was in a band, or when I used to go out and perform with house bands every week. I loved that, I think it was the healthiest I ever was mentally, just for those days or hours. Other than that, no.

I honestly don't want my old life back. Whenever I look back on it, all I can see now are the mistakes I made that ultimately led me to where I am now. So even though my life seemed good up until 2015, it was all an illusion. Never did I think that it would come to this. When I leave this world, it will be with much regret and self-loathing.

YEESSSS...go back to when I was a kid and didn't feel incompetent, didn't really have noticeable mental health issues and was a lot happier. The only thing that sucked was getting bullied and not really having any friends though those didn't really start affecting me until I was around 12. But I'll go back to age 5.

I would go back to 2015. I was 19 years old a virgin. Low self esteem and hardly any confidence because my so called "friends" always tore me down and made fun of me. I should have kicked their asses at the time I was actually stronger then them physically but mentally I was weak. My parents were divorced and my dad would just smoke weed with me and tell me all the "bad things" that happened to him growing up. I realize now I should not have let his problems be my problems. My mom always yelled at me making me into a little bitch. Man I wish I had stood up for myself.

I wish back then I realized I am 19 and have 60 years a head of me and not to worry. However I was delusional from smoking weed and thought the world was going to end in 5 years and I have to make 100 million dollars before then. Seriously my mind state was delusional.

I wish I could go back now. All my problems I had were temporary. I was upset about money and no girlfriend. Man If I just had cherished my life and appreciate the internet and all the pics of hot girls I could have survived on my own until I was older and found a good girl.

However I went for the first girl to text me to hangout which was my dads girlfriends daughter. Who was a witch.

She lies to me and says to not wear condom because she can't get pregnant. I am a virgin and also mentally weak so I believe her.

She gets pregnant and starts cutting her wrists also belittling me then she manipulates me into getting a vasectomy because she will only get an abortion if I do.

So i get forced into a vasectomy and this girl aborts my kid.

Man I wish I could go back with what I know now.

Vasectomy will ruined your life. Thousands of people have horrible painful complications including me.

Man the world is messed up. What is even more messed up is how OBLIVIOUS people are to reality.

YES. I'll take anything to go back to age 13. Everything afterwards was intolerable. Even age 19-22 but life went to crap. Acne destroyed my quality of life and it's unfortunate. I'll be nothing but a burden to my dad and mom living at home. I have no motivation to work anymore, I have no desire to pursue anything I just don't care anymore. All these awful mistakes of 3 guys ruined me. Crippled with low self esteem, low social confidence, social anxiety, misery/depression, acne. Once my student loans are paid I can be free. I will be FREE. I miss early teens. I don't desire this and low social status. This sucks and just not desirable.

I have never wanted to be alive really, but I guess things were not as bad a few years ago. I did not have many health problems back then and I guess I was not as tired. Things were different then, like the circumstances that I was in. I do not look back at that time fondly though and I do feel disconnected to it now. I do not want any life, I just want non existence, to be at permanent peace. I was never meant for this life. I wish I was never born.

My old life is what I don't want to go back too, my life's been better over the past few years especially the past year than the past 20+ Sadly my own naivety limited social skills and social awkwardness and shit at starting conversations I keep falling back closer to my old life. That's my hell and I don't think I can really escape. My old life I would be 10-11 to maybe change how my life goes.
