Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm just wondering when is the right time? Should you do it immediately? Should someone wait for the life to change? And how much can you wait? Should you wait so your family doesn't have to deal with other bad circumstances too? Should you wait till your feel like you have permission, in a sense? What if you're tired of waiting for life to get better? What if you're just tired of waiting but don't want to destroy your family's life?

Initially I wanted to wait until my narcissistic, uncaring and cold parents pass away from old age, and then ctb, but my poor mental and physical health (painful joints and muscle weakness) worsened rapidly in the last 3 years. I just cannot wait any more. I plan on doing it soon.
Yes, it will hurt my parents, but they never did liked me much anyway. Never showed me affection or comforted me when I was having depressive episodes or pain flareups.

The right time to commit suicide is when YOU are ready.

CTB for me is my plan C.

My plan B is to study german and move to a foreign country as a travel nurse. If that plan will fail, then i will resort to plan C.

As long as mom and my 2 cats are alive, i will still walk this Earth.

I honestly think that is a personal journey, as CTB is something very personal. If YOU feel like you are ready, then you're ready.
Personally I don't truly feel a call to commit to a CTB plan yet. It's just one of the several plans I have for the future.
It's very sweet you don't want to destroy your family's life, I have this same feeling about it too.. It's a difficult thing, but I believe that you should above all else put yourself first so you can bring yourself happiness/peace.

I hope this thread can help you with your thoughts!

I agree with the others that the decision is something really personal and should only be done when you're ready for it. Personally I'd advise against doing it impulsively.

For me, I knew CTB was my answer because I've already put in a non-zero amount of time and effort into making meaningful change for myself. I pretty much came to the conclusion that I have no future, and with only a handful of loved ones left I figured I'd take my time trying to make the process as painless as possible for them. So my appointed date it sometime next year as I make my preparations.

Whenever the fuck you want to.
Thats the beauty of killing yourself.
You don't need anyone's permission to do it, but your own.

Only you can decide the right time. Everyone has different levels of tolerance and limits. You can't force anything either, as I've learned these past few months.

I can only talk about my life, and when it is the right time to end it. For me it will be when I have fulfilled my obligations I still have in this life.

I might risk taking extreme measures for a potential 'recovery' before CTB. Like a big psychedelic trip, quitting my job, hiking out to the wilderness for a while...And if nothing works or makes it worse, then it may be time. Though the impact on my parents would still be an issue.
