I don't know to be honest. I believe that if you do it with shotgun that would make you aren't able to react and you won't feel anything, but if you do shoot with the pistol that make you feel some pain before you die
It's my speculations
Those who survived with a bullet lodged in the skull, but harmless, say they felt nothing. And then the brain has no ability to register pain. But some say it will hurt... well.
I think if you survived or are conscious when the round discharged and made impact, I'm sure there will be pain felt. It would be like if you bumped your head onto something like a wall, object, or whatever, there would be a concussion, but much, much worse.
