Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

The thugs of fixthe26 are just that: thugs. I hold them in the same regard as I do rapists and murderers. They want to take away the one place I have left where I'm not an outcast. What doesn't cross their mind is that isn't not the site that makes us want to kill ourselves, it's the cruel nature of society, the unfairness of the world, the fact that some of us are unprivileged and disadvantaged and have no other way out of our misery, and plenty of other factors depending on who you ask.

I onviously support ss, but I understand the people at fixthe26, typically they are parents who lost a college age person who went through a temporary crisis that could have been solved and likely would have been solved if they had turned to their parents and asked for help, but somehow they didn't and they came here and learned things here about how to ctb and then did ctb. Like many people here I try to encourage people who show signs of hope to explore this further but I do respect the right to choose to stay here or to move on. I have seen some people recover here and this is a good thing. There is a recovery section here which works for some people. I'm not mad at the fix the 26ers because they are acting out of grief for a child that could have been saved. But being able to discuss ctb here is important for people, especially for those with long term depressions who need to find peace.

I completely understand where you're coming and I completely empathize with people as well but I think what you fail to realize is that these people have bully people they have been transphobic they have doxxed people etc. Yet they sit here and call us bullies. Many of people have tried to have a level-headed conversation with them coming from a place of compassion and they will attack back at you and they will do anything that they can to doxx you.
They are doing the exact same thing that they accused others of doing and it's mainly just Kelli.

Doxxing is not cool but their grief is huge and I do think a really big part of their solution needs to be encouraging parents to talk to their kids about how depression can sneak up on you before it happens. I think many people on this site try to encourage hope when they see it and I think continuing to emphasize this will help the site. The ironic thing here for me is that most people who are here wouldn't be here if they had parents who cared as much as these parents do.

This is what I don't understand. The very qualities FT26 accuses SS of, are the same ones FT26 are showing: naming and shaming vulnerable people, stereotyping the suicidal etc.

That last part about being bullied for not going through with suicide is so, so incredibly wrong and goes to show just how unknowledgeable that person is about this site.
I've seen so many people get talked OUT of suicide here from posting things that even slightly suggested that they weren't 10,000% sure that they were ready to go.
Hell, even I have experienced this back in 2020 when I seriously thought I was going to go through with it. I expressed the slightest bit of hesitancy, and everybody encouraged me to NOT go through with it if I wasn't sure. I was comforted, and as the OP said, it saved my life in that moment.
Do I still want to CTB? Overall, yes. Am I 100% sure that I want to do it yet? No. And I have never felt ostracized here for feeling that way.
Anybody who's been around here for a couple days or even just a couple hours would see how supportive everyone is here and how nobody straight up encourages suicide. Also, providing resources DOES NOT equal encouraging. Everyone has a right to knowledge.

She just needs attention, that's all. It's been a while since there has been a news article about this forum, that's the only reason why she tweets out that nonsense. Here is another desperate individual fishing for attention.
And it's quite an interesting story. Is that the reason why you were caught with another alt-account just a few weeks ago, @6ftunder? This guy is obsessed. How does it feel to get outsmarted every single time? Remember, he appeared in a BBC documentary about the evil dangers of this forum while(!) he was actively participating in this community and fishing for support with another alt-account. You can't make this up.

I honestly don't think anybody cares or even giving any attention to that person at all so I don't see how we're even hating on them for recovering when nobody even knows who they are. Good for them for getting better.

They never left the forum voluntarily. They were banned after threatening another member with real life consequences. As a result of that they joined the fixers and continued to harass our members on Twitter and violate their right to privacy repeatedly, uploading their personal pictures without their consent on their Twitter account. This shows how these people treat your right to privacy because that's exactly what Kelli has done back in 2021 when they doxxed someone. They threw the community under the bus when they gave an interview to FixThe26 and claimed that we are "pro-death", brushing aside the support they've received in this community. For the last 2 years they've tried to integrate into this community again under different alt-accounts to circumvent the ban. I'm pointing this out because I'm not gonna let bad-faith actors dominate the narrative about this forum anymore especially when they're used by the media and activist groups to portray us in a bad light. This person didn't recover. They've repeatedly harassed and stalked members. And this person still tries to leech off support from this community while continously throwing the entire forum under the bus. Sorry but that's not okay.

It's really such a silly statement. When a person leaves the forum they're no longer in contact so who would express hatred (or anything else) and how would they communicate it to them? It makes no sense.
In my experience here, whenever someone posts about hitting a positive stride and dwciding to leave for greener/brighter pastures the replies are akways of a congratulatory nature. Whilst there are some vindictive and bitter members of the forum that could hypothetically reply to such threads with disdain they in no way make up the collective consciousness of the forum itself. You just have to hope that people (none foeum members) have the sense to see this for themselves. Unfortunately people tend to believe what suits them these days and truth/facts don't carry the weight they deserve anymore. It's very frustrating to witness!
@RainAndSadness Do you remember the name of the BBC documentary you referred to? If you prefer not to name it on the open forum feel free to PM me the title instead. If you would be so kind. It would be appreciated. : )

Is that the full thing? I thought it may be an excerpt from a full length documentary.
It's so weirs putting a face to the posts. Not sure what I was expecting. If anything. It just seems unusual for someone with even a grain of intelligence to have posted that utterly strange application to be a mod and the following manefesto. I still can't help thinking there was some semi rhetorical humour in there. All be it misplaced and misguided.
It's just so bizarre to me. People never cease to surprise me in their oddness. I tend to assume a bar has been reach bit someone always manages to take it up a notch. It's actually pretty disconcerting as it causes an exponentially logical loss of confidence in humans in general. I want ro route for them but I feel more and more foolish for it as the days progress.

I don't know details on who these parent's loved ones were and understand grief may be heavy. But can't help but feel some of this anger is being fired off from a place of guilt aswell. It says something if those kids didn't feel that they could get the help that they needed from their own parents, and in turn came to this website for support and ultimately some comfort before they CTB. That may sound harsh, but it may be a partial reality in many situations. Some people can't fave all of the truth and in turn deflect all responsibility.
We aren't the ones responsible for them getting to the point that they felt the need to seek this site out. Info to CTB is all over the internet with plenty of photos to go along. The internet can be a cold harsh place, but what is not out there is many communities that understands and is comforting, and can relate to people suffering. A community that does NOT want to see you CTB, but supports your desire for peace and end to suffering. This community doesn't punish you, be forceful in any way that I have seen either. I finally found a place I can come to chat and not worry about being thrown in a padded room by people, that don't care about me, that are just enforcing laws.
This site is one of the last things in the world that I have found, that brings in any comfort.
