I feel like I should quit and do something entirely different.
I don't because it pays the bills and I don't have the time, money nor motivation to study something new.
So I'm here rotting in the current state of things, like every other aspect of my life.

I go to school (vocational high school), so I'm 18 years old. And I don't really like it, I think everytime when I go or went to the school I have and had always that fear in me. The school isn't the problem, it's me. I'm lonely there because I hate to talk to people. And if you are alone, it is not really possible to like it. With a job it would be the same. So not sure if I hate it. I think I hate the school a bit. In the end of the day it's me, so I hate myself not the job or school. If I would be someone else, I would like it.

I do love my job. Sure, it sucks sometimes and when it sucks, it sucks bad. But my job gives me self confidence and I of course love the money haha 😂🤑 I've been thinking of other careers too, I don't think I'll do just escorting my whole life. Hopefully some day I can become a burlesque artist and a nail tech. I like being my own boss so I think I'll be an entrepreneur when "I grow up".

Quick google search tells me burlesque artist is like a parody show artist(Correct me if I'm wrong), why only a burlesque artist and not an artist. You like parody that much ?

My work is interesting, important, and never dull, but our management are sub-par and we're terribly inefficient in our processes so it's kind of frustrating.
I've also become a black sheep because I've made suggestions on potential improvements the past few years (and tried to do so respectfully and gently) but those resulted in punishment and marginalization, so that's not great.

A previous colleague told me that people generally don't leave their job because of the work, they leave because of their boss; I believe this is very true.

Yea, art and drugs go very well hand in hand.... It basically includes treating myself nice things, trying out all sort of stuff. Lot's of trial and error, but I trust it's for my own benefit.

I don't think there's any job I wouldn't hate but it lets me live my life a bit when I'm off the clock.

I hate any type of work where you are forced to work under someone else's expectations.

My job itself is relatively easy though it is physically exhausting and the pay/hours are pretty bad. The benefits are good though.

The job mainly sucks for me because almost a year ago I developed a heavily one-sided crush on one of my coworkers and I have since had multiple panic attacks in front of her which has made things incredibly awkward between us and now she has to go through so many extra steps and hurdles just to avoid me while we're working and it makes me so miserable knowing I've caused her so much pain by existing.

A bit of both
My job is high paying, I work alone and have a lot of freedom
However, it is extremely hard and often tiresome

I was an HGV driver before my first attempt, on the one hand I loved just driving the trucks, especially when the roads were quieter, I did a lot of nights/early mornings.
On the other hand I despised the actual "job", mountains of paperwork, endless delays when picking up and dropping stuff off, dealing with sometimes just nasty warehouse/yard staff and if you are from the UK you know how horrible and congested our roads can get.
