Do you have anyone if your life that you miss?

Someone who if you met right now you'd be overjoyed and happy to see, who could relieve you of the pain you feel?
I've just realised I have no one like that. I have no one else in my life at all.
I can't even remember having that.

I miss my one friend, though it's hard to call him that. He doesn't talk to me anymore and any time I try to engage with him it's like that spark of our friendship is gone, as corny as it sounds. Our friendship peaked about a year or 2 ago. We were both (for the most part) friendless losers who had each other. Now he's moved on and basically a completely different person from then. Meanwhile I'm still that same nobody but with the added perk of being 10x more suicidal! Fun!

If I could talk to him from that peak-period now I would feel great. I miss that version of him.

My brother who passed away this past February- if he were alive, of course.

I have so much I wish I could tell him and show him, things that no one else would appreciate quite as much as he would.

I never realized just how much my brother and I had in common until after he died; and now I catch myself wanting to text or call him all the time like we used to- to show him new music I've discovered, to tell him about the horror streaming app I found that I know he would love, or just whatever pops into my head.

Nope, all the people I cared about have passed on, but they succumbed to the usual killers like cancer and dementia. I won't be missed anyway. I also deeply miss my animal friends who have also died. I just want to be with them now.

Nothing at all wrong with not having that feeling or connection with anyone as it's normal to have people come and go or not have anyone at all, it's better to have it that way then miss someone and feel guilty and down about it all the time.

There are people that I miss having a connection with... but, almost all of them have changed for the worse, so they probably won't bring me the same feeling of happiness anymore. And, there might be moments of happiness with certain people, but it all feels temporary. I think it's probably because internally, I just don't feel like anyone truly cares about me anymore to have me consistently in their life.

I do have one long-distance, online friend that seems to care about me a lot on a personal level, but currently no one in real life.

My wife. The person I have truly fallen in love with that accepted and loved me back just as much. Not the person that's sleeps beside me every day. Not the person that hurt me in the most gruesome ways to this day. Not the person that abandoned me today.

I miss my dog as of lately.

I never realize how much he meant to me until time went by. but we had to put him down sadly it was for the best since he was a really violent dog but i'll be so happy if I can just pet him again and hug him.

And as for human beings.

There's alot of people I miss and wish I still had some contact with even though they kinda became not so ideal people to be around with.
and when i'm in bed I think about myself talking to them about random stuff going on in my life. I use to be so close with them

this has been a horrible year of loss for me. 2023 has been hell.
