I believe there is no other side, which is good enough for me.

When I decided to commit suicide I started to listen to nde (near death experience) survivors while in mental hospital. They talked about feeling love peace, everything making sense. Also mediums and spiritual teachers say there is love on the other side. I had this feeling that it's good on the other side and going there seemed fascinating not scary. It made it easier to try crossing to the other side. Now I stared to doubt spirituality seeing how hopeless my life is and how many unnecessary suffering there is in the world. But the NDAs seem pretty convincing. What do you think?
i don't believe in there being a "side" beyond death. but i wish there was. an eternity of love and peace like you mentioned, or something i guess.

Death always used to scare me when I was younger, the thought of being judged for all my choices and actions terrified me because I genuinely thought I was a shit person. Don't get me wrong, still scares me sometimes but ive learnt to deal with it and learnt to make somewhat better choices, the only bad choices I make half of the time hurt myself which I can live with. I have no clue what happens when you die, my dad is a christian but my mum has never really been religious. Ive been through phases, believing in ghosts, believing in god (it would make my dad proud) and then believing in the fact theres absolutely nothing after death and people have made shit up just to make sure people dont go insane thinking about it. I used to think when people died they became the stars in the night sky like my parents taught me obviously its a lie. Whatever happens after death, it better not be more shittier than this fucking life.

You will die in unconsciousness so it's either eternal sleep or reincarnation

Personally, if I die and I wake up anywhere, Im going to have a mental breakdown and be miserable eternally regardless of where I end up.

Fear of the afterlife is the only reason why I struggled so long with SI, I dont think I will cope well with anything but a state of nothingness, similar to how existence was for the last few months pre my birth.

If religious texts are right, Im inherently going to hell for blasphemy, so I am fucked regardless.
