Yes.
There is much more suffering than goodness in the world. There is so much suffering for both humans and non-human animals. For example, millions of human children die of hunger-related causes each year. Literally trillions of non-human animals suffer and die at the hands of humans each year. I can't even fathom just how bad the situation is. There is more suffering happening constantly than I could ever fully understand. Think about just how big a million is. A million sentient beings. A trillion is a million times a million. There are trillions of beings who suffer and die each year, wild animals suffering from other wild animals, along with all animals suffering from diseases, injuries, starvation, natural events

I get where you're coming from but they are two entirely different states. Did you feel 'better' before you were born? No- because you didn't feel anything at all (most likely.) It's only once you're born and develop some sort of sentience that you are able to form opinions on whether it's good to be alive or not. (As far as we're aware.) And, if you asked every being on this planet- it's quite possible that the majority of them still like the fact they got the chance to exist. (God knows why though- I do agree with you as it happens.)

Yes, I do believe that. On some nights, I look out into space and it's so beautiful and peaceful. Out there in space, there's no suffering, no pain, no war, no exploitation, no wage slavery, no racism, no bullying, no depression etc etc. When I say "out there in space", I'm more so referring to our solar system outside of earth. I wish that earth could be like how it is on planets with no lifeforms

No, I don't think that because of all the suffering in this world, the few good things that exist, like love, are not worth the trouble. It's just that my brain keeps me from enjoying them.

why not the scale of suffering in the world is staggering and deeply troubling, the question of whether non-existence is preferable is ultimately a philosophical one that depends on various ethical considerations

It'd be better if I didn't exist but I understand that not everyone thinks and feels like me. The majority of people want to live despite suffering. So they should exist if they want to.
If i'm gone then so is the whole world to me so it doesn't matter . I want to eradicate me not the whole world

It's entirely a subjective take. Such things are always debatable and people subscribing to different philosophies have different opinions. Just because we are suffering, we don't get to dictate as to what is better. But yes , as sentient beings capable of suffering, we need to have the right to determine how much suffering we can go through.

focuses on the immense amount of suffering present in the world, both among humans and non-human animals, which is a significant and undeniable issue, if there is 51 percent suffering and 49 percent pleasure in the world on the whole it would be better to not exist at all

Yes nothing existing is better .the most horrible things outweigh any supposedly "good" "important" or pleasurable garbage Addictions.

Nothing matters . this insignificant particle of dust called earth won't exist in a few billion years.

What that we do will matter in 150 years? In ten thousand years? In a trillion years? Nothing

I'm happy that after I die I will cease to exist forever

I'm glad the universe is expanding to nothingness

Both options are equally shitty to me. None really satisfying, at times I wished that this universe never existed due to all the traumatic things that some have to go trough.

I agree. But I have a rather pro-life approach to this philosophical question. And I agree to disagree with most SaSu members.

No…I mean it isn't exactly comparing apples to apples, all this comparing to no existence at all, I wish I never existed…like u can't really compare to none existence…if u didn't exist u can't be here to compare and making your value judgements…all your value judgements exist because of existence…would u have felt better if u didn't exist? No because then you couldn't have existed to feel anything…also everything u say is very one sided and no matter how u keep doubling down on the negatives it can never really be "objective" if you only look at the negative side…there is a lot of nuance to life many considerations in the grey area between pros and cons of life…even just this concept of suffering alone can means many positives and negatives to different people, not everyone have suffering it brings many people a concept of purpose or value…I don't even know how u begin to make such black and white judgement calls…i also just don't have a god complex I don't think I have the right to determine that other people's existence is worthless and they should never have existed…I am sorry about your suffering and pain I'm sure it is very extreme… but no I can't agree with much that is said here

I don't think it makes sense to deny the many people for whom life is worth it based on our perception. We're not exactly unbiased. I'd rather just have an informed consent type system where if you don't want to exist you just get to stop without any barriers or judgement.

No, I do not. There is nothing worse than literal nothing in general...forever.

For exmple, the "something" that we know exists right now (our planet, life, the universe,...) is extraordinary and beautiful. And all the suffering that we know of should slowly diminish as time goes on and as people become more advanced.

I just believe everyone should be able to choose whether they would like to be part of that "something" or not. But it certainly should exist on its own (as opposed to nothing replacing it).

Not sure if it's for everyone better but not having existed / not existing lets your soul rest in peace. You won't long for being human, you'll just simply be nothin' but you won't know, cus you don't exist. We were all okay with us before being born, not being able to think or do anything. Honestly, personally for me I would be glad to not exist and to have never existed but not living means also not knowing what Life's like.
With no sadness comes no longing for happiness. With no sadness happiness wouldn't exist either. Somehow life turns out great for a lotta people, I wouldn't wanna take that from em. Just me; Yes, erase me, please lol

Idk about comparing anything to nothingness, but for example, I'd rather eat nothing than pineapple pizza kek.

Less is better sometimes.

I wouldn't wish for nothing to exist, as there are people, plants, and animals that peacefully enjoy existence. But I would be ok with myself just not existing anymore. Poof, nothing, no harm no foul.
