I want to believe there is something after all this. In some ways, there's things that comfort me and make me think it's true. If anything, to see my loved ones again. or, even returning to a greater consciousness. If there is nothign though - I take comfort in knowing I am literally made of star stuff. My atoms will continue to exist. This universe will someday die out, or collapse back in on itself, who knows.. parts of me will be reborn anew in new life forms billinons of years from now.
As for 'God' - I want to believe there is some entity... but with how the world is, I don't believe it has total control over everything. Or, it's one of those that sits back and lets things play out - not evil but not good - just an observer?
