i think ghosts are real and i have experienced some weird stuff but it might just be weird stuff and has got nothing to do with ghosts

thats a really good question i hope not and i dont think i will
i feel like the people who do come back as ghosts are the ones who would want to come back which would not be me or have some sort of unfinished buisness on here (maybe revenge or something)

i don't believe in ghosts but i've been frightened of them since i was a kid. i'm especially scared of zombies. it's like part of my brain is going "what if" and makes me paranoid everytime i'm driving at night or alone in the dark

I believe I've felt different energies before, and have had pretty odd experiences after trying to get in contact with some entities, but I've never really had a knack for clairvoyance, so who really knows. Maybe.

I really hope they are real. I feel like that's the kindest end I can get. I want to float around museums, watch my friends from afar, be able to float….. sounds like a dream

that does sound nice but i'd like it to not be for eternity. i would like to go into deep space as a ghost and close my eyes forever.

I like how individualized ghosts can be, they're a very personal thing. A lot of people independently wonder what they'd look like as a ghost. Would they be wearing the clothes they had on when they died, is their appearance affected by how they die and how their corpse is handled, if you die of old age do you have to be old forever or do you get aged down. One question that just leads to more questions that have different answers depending on whose experience it is, like someone who has seen a person they know as an apparition or in a dream or during a NDE. A lot of questions in "ghostlore" are like that. Like are they stuck on earth or are they visiting from somewhere else, why are they here and theres stuff like stone tape theory but is it really a ghost if its just an echo of the past? Religion and culture obviously influence peoples attitudes and opinions but its a really old widespread belief that seems to come naturally to humans, so regardless of if people think its stupid its probably always going to be around because it persists by molding to fit the society and context of its believers.

Everytime I close my front door I involuntarily imagine the dog I knew but died 6 months ago is standing there and wanting to be let in, too. But I don't really believe in ghosts, but it's kind of weird. Occasionally, I open the door again to let the dog in

My boyfriend and I are really into creepypasta/horror in general but because of how a large part of both of our childhoods were exploring weird areas, I never really believed in certain aspects much, like ghosts (I'm not really sure about him though, probably not).

The idea of a soul in general does hold up merit though, especially with my experience with meditation, and the science behind how deep meditation even makes sense with modern science is so interesting because of how split it is with two of the biggest theories essentially being a ruminative idea of the human soul (The quantum objective reduction theory and integrated information theory). The idea of the soul is no longer just fiction but is currently holding immense weight in modern science as frontiers! ^-^

The only issue is, even if a soul was to exist, it doesn't necessarily mean any human-made religion is true; it could easily be as simple as our soul dissipating alongside our death, and most certainly doesn't mean it could exist outside of a vessel aka ghosts, we could simply return back into the quantum field though however you interpret that spiritually is up to you. The idea of the inner self existing beyond just being a controlled hallucination like scientists originally thought is a nice prospect though.
