Do People Attempt Suicide After Drinking?

It seems almost impossible to hang oneself while sober.
However, trying to do so while intoxicated can sometimes amplify feelings of fear instead.
In my experience, it's somewhat amusing, but when I drink, I simply feel better, forget everything, and end up passing out. At least for me, drinking doesn't seem to be a good idea.

What about you? Have you ever considered attempting it after drinking?

Apparently I tried but I don't remember because I was blacked out. Another separate time I was drinking with my family I apparently blacked out and started crying about wanting to die

I don't remember doing either but that's what I was told

I know a case where a guy drank a liter of vodka and then sat on the tracks with his back to the train. He's dead.

It is actually a nice idea and I can't believe I never thought about it lol
might try it soon because i'm terrified of the pain a bit but i want to go, no question

Was thinking of drinking a lot and taking a ton of lunesta sleeping pills then hot car to induce heatstroke but I think I missed the window because it's getting cooler here in NY. That or trying to drown while heavily intoxicated.

Pretty much non methods though. I ordered SN and hope it gets here without any issues. If it falls through I'm going to have no choice then to try one of the above methods and hope for the best.

I think it just depends on how you react when drunk, I am usually just groggy and depressed when drinking, so I will probably do it before ctb

In the past, I sometimes drank alcohol, but at that time, I wasn't even capable of attempting CTB because I was just vomiting all over myself.

I'm thinking drowning would be highly effective if you blacked out in the ocean after a large amount of alcohol. Probably painless too cuz you'd be unconscious. That's how Natalie Wood died.
