I've been seeing some news lately about famous people like actors, social media stars, and youtubers dying by suicide. Almost all of them seem to use hanging, which makes me think they might be doing it on impulse rather than planning it beforehand.

If it wasn't impulsive, you'd think they would've researched other options more, especially since they have the money and resources to access what they might consider less painful and peaceful methods like SN, pills, etc.

I think they do it impulsively because they have enough money to have access to peaceful methods and they know the right people who can help them. Yesterday, I was thinking about Robin Williams (one of my favourite actors). I'm sad for him when I think he was forced to hang himself 😞 When he died, N was easily available. Celebrities are only human, I guess they want a peaceful ending too. I'm worried for Ariana Grande. You can see she's very ill. Celebrity can kill. I don't envy these people. Always under radar. Not surprising to see them ctb.

Yeah celebrities are still human and having money or fame doesn't necessarily protect someone from suicidal thoughts. I just hope people can recognize when someone is struggling and give them support before things reach that point, it sucks that people often prioritize their public persona over their mental health.

Celebrities are always under the radar and are under the performance pressure. They do a great performance, suddenly they are in the limelight, all that disappears in some time and no one's even thinking of them. They feel that pressure to always be in the lime light. A lot of actors and actresses don't get work anymore.
Besides, not many care about others, so even if you tell someone that you are suicidal, they may not help you except once or twice.
