DMC and SN advice please

I ordered from DMC two years ago in June 2024. I thought it was longer than this. I don't know how I managed to hold on the past couple of years. My SI is way too strong for my own good!

I've held on partly to emotionally support my cousin who struggled looking after her elderly mother with dementia. I've only really known grief, rejection and loss in my life. My only family have lied, abused and used me. I know many on here have sadly experienced much the same. Still, I'm grateful for my health and tell myself as long as I still have the physical ability to go to the gym and workout, what difference does it make if I go now or at a later date? My faith helped me go on through the struggles and abuse, for good or bad. I'm unsure If I believe in God anymore, but if God was to send me to hell for taking my life, he could not be a kind and loving merciful God that He says he is. He would not be true to His word and therefore he would simply not exist. I am far from perfect, but then again no one is and that is why Christ is our saviour. That I am grateful for. However, things are becoming harder day to day, I grieve my dog every day and the joy I once received from gardening is gone as I get closer to becoming homeless. I've lost interest in caring for other people because everything is such a struggle. I hate being this way. I wish to retain some dignity rather than struggle further and allow my enemies and those who have contributed to my downfall, enjoy the pleasure of seeing me in such a lowley position.

I have all the necessary ingredients ready but am concerned the SN will not be effective and be passed its use by date. I have not openned the sealed bag it came in and it has been kept in a dark box.

What do people suggest?

I have tried to work out clues re B&M etc so I can obtain a fresh batch of SN, but I'm in Australia. I'm not smart and I just can't make sense of it.

Any advice? Should I just keep it in the sealed bag until the time? Do people think it will still be OK, or should I take extra just incase?

As for your SN, the thing is SN doesn't really expire, it just changes forms. When exposed to moisture and oxygen, over time it will transform from NaNO2 to NaNO3. Which is a nitrAte, and using Sodium NitrAte as a chemical in your ctb would be quite slow and painful, because its basically ineffective at converting the Hb in your blood to MetHb like nitrIte does. However, if it's never been opened, and it's still been in its sealed bag for two years, I think it's probably going to still be above the safe 95% purity threshold, assuming you initially ordered 99%. NaNO2 is generally a reliable and strong compound, the only concern is if it was exposed to air for long periods of time as it is a reducing agent in said case. But I wouldn't follow this blindly, and I'd definitely do the blood and strip test you can find on the farewell wiki page. The nitrite testing strips are honestly very cheap and accessible.

Thanks, it hasn't been opened - still vacummed sealed and I'm afraid to do the test because it means opening it.

Thing is I am not 100% sure now is right. I can't see myself holding on to this shit life any longer - but I have one reason to try and wait for just a little longer...unless I'm given a nudge - which may come at any time...so I must be prepared.

OH I forgot to mention, no don't take extra. If the purity is now below the threshold taking extra doesn't help much. You don't want to take that much NitrAte. Either way I think your SN is still good. Just make sure!!!!!

Yeah I actually had the same concern when I opened my SN. But SN is quite resilient. Even one of those plastic containers with those like rubber lock seals if you know what I mean, I believe those work fine. Inevitably they will let in a bit more air than the vacuum sealed bag, but you'll only be losing fraction of a percent of purity over months. It takes like years of consistent exposure to high amounts of oxygen for the SN to really lose significant purity
