So tomorrow I get discharged from this psych ward. My kids have rejected me and my foster father died less than a week ago. I feel lost but at least once I'm out I can ctb properly in a way which doesn't cause a drama or a bollocking from some know all twat who knows nothing about the pain I'm in. SN should arrive and as soon as it does I'm off to the sea... far away from any hospitals or interventions. I feel more at peace now knowing its nearly over

I understand why you would feel so relieved knowing that all the suffering is coming to an end, this world certainly is hell to me and psych wards certainly sound like horrific prisons. I hope that you find the freedom that you are searching for, best wishes.

Psych wards are truly hell on Earth, sadly I belong in one now because I've damaged myself but yes good luck to you

You have never been to psych wards in eastern Europe . This is complete hell compared to Western Europe countries.

I remember my discharge from the psych ward time ago. It was a strange feeling of relief engulfed with pain. I didn't have anywhere to go or anyone on the other side.

Even in America there is quite the variation. Some are just smaller units attached to hospitals, patients not as bad, but the longer term ones here, horrific damage to people in there, tardive diskenisia, uncontrollable tremors, just destroyed people in there for decades, I really have ptsd from some of those places.

The ward I have been in England is like hotel with very nice staff and helpful too. Germany is pretty decent too the room was not solo but the food was pretty nice. But when I got in psych ward in one poor Easter Europe country it was complete hell. They put you on the cheapest over maximum doses of medication which should be illegal, food you can barely survive. No coffee no ordering stuff no cigarettes if you don't have a person who will bring it to you. Relatives should also provide you with a sim card with internet. You basically lay on the bed all day and stare into the ceiling. People working there are complete schmucks and very incompetent. But what do you expect for the salary they get. They can hold you there long time without any objections. I was given a condition that if I want to get out I should pass the test with their psychologist. He is a complete inadequate began to lay out some cards and you must complete these tasks that he himself invented pumped up with medicines and if you don't you would stay there forever. They can also make you
incapable and then you can't manage one's property and money.
