So, I'm doing online classes currently at a local community college. I'm about to start my second semester in a few weeks. I'm really anxious about it because last semester I nearly failed because it was so difficult for me to maintain motivation. I'm so depressed that it's severely impacting my ability to function, but because I'm doing online I feel like I have no one to help me. My parents are just mad at me, and I have no one else in-person who can help me. I don't know what to do. I've been more hopefully lately and I want to set a good life up for myself. I wish everything wasn't a struggle. Thank you for listening <3

it's okay, a lot of people's first semester of college goes rough for a variety of reasons. i hope that your second semester is easier on you <3 if you want some advice on how to do better with your academics, i recommend study groups (or studying in a cafe/library with other people, even just passively) and limiting screen time. and also reward yourself after every assignment you get done! or every day of work.

damn this post is exactly how I feel, it's so hard for me to focus on my exams due to depression, even tho it is my last year of college (Degree in English Linguistics) I don't feel excited at all. Here's a pic of my cat to at least (hoping) to bring you a smile đź’• 7A72BA05 B7A5 4CC4 9BE6 B2F21C7D6608

i understand, in covid-era school i was severely depressed and barely passed, my parents hated me and at some point kicked me out until my grades were better and i really do attribute a lot of it to online classes

im in community college right now too, and while this upcoming semester should theoretically be my last, its far from it. i feel really behind, but i do know im incapable of taking classes online (though that might be unavoidable for you, in which case im very sorry) and ill spend as much time as i need in in-person classes to slow down time and try to keep as much time available to figure out what i wanna do with the rest of my life.

i hope your ability to keep up hope is sustained, keeping up an education is super hard especially for people like us but you deserve a good life, and i truly hope it comes your way!!
