To me it comes across as absurd when people view death as the most terrible, tragic thing that should be avoided as the reality is that to die is the most normal thing and should be seen as such. We are destined for nowhere but to cease existing with this existence finally forgotten about, eventually death will erase everything for us and that's the reality. Existence is just an impermanent and meaningless distraction from the fact that death is inevitable, and all that suicide is, is just taking control over what we are destined for.
So therefore suicide should be viewed as a positive thing, as it's the way to prevent unnecessary suffering. And at the end of the day if one was to die soon or in decades time it wouldn't make that much difference other than it would had spared that person from all future problems and suffering in such an dreadful existence. We are just waiting around to die anyway, destined to suffer and decay so to me it makes sense wanting to escape from all this and return back to the ideal state of non-existence that we are destined to reach.
Suicide isn't tragic as it's just someone taking control, making a decision in which they have every right to make. To me it's such a problem how this society is so in denial of death where not wishing to delay the inevitable is viewed as an "illness" rather than the logical thing that it truly is. The fact that choosing to die isn't accepted as being normal only just leads to even more suffering, it's like many people forget that we are all going to die anyway. The only tragedy lies in the existence of life instead and how so much unnecessary torture has been experienced all throughout history, the reality is that to die solves what the temporary problem is which is existence in itself.
