Hello. I see a lot of people on this forum struggle with dealing with SI (survival instinct), especially in the heat of the moment. I believe the solution to this issue is to use buddhist mindfulness practices. The source of the SI is the thinking in your mind. If you are able to completely stop the thinking in your mind, you will no longer have any SI.
For me, I just become intensely aware of my physical brain with mindfulness and I am able to slow down and almost completely silence my thinking. It is more just of a feeling rather than a concrete step-by-step method.
I think this plus hanging is the most realistic method for anyone wanting to CTB quickly.
