i haven't posted on here since like nov 2024 i think but i just got broken up with and here to tell u that dating is just stupid lollll I guess its good to have someone there but it never lasts bc 1: ur more than likely going to ctb or 2: they can't handle everything that comes with u

Everyone eventually leaves that's just life unfortunately but it sucks when the person who left was the only person you had

Idk what to say honestly, I can't talk from experience cuz I've never been in a real relationship but I also crave so much for human connection every day. Somehow I feel I'd be more happy if I had someone else to cuddle with and with whom Id feel safe to talk about my feelings. But at the same time I stop myself from trying to have a genuine relationship because I wouldn't want to cause them pain because of how I feel...

I've also seen people on this forum talking about how important their partner is to them and how that's the only thing keeping their life from falling apart, so I think it's possible!

Relationships are difficult, even when things are going well. But when mental illness is in the mix, it makes it 10 times harder. Probably more. I don't know your personal history so I won't speculate as to why the relationship failed. I will just suggest sorting yourself out and getting a handle on your symptoms before bringing someone into your life.

After years of failed relationships, I've given up. Some of those failures were my fault. Some not. I just know that when I love someone, I get attached and when they leave, I am crushed. This is probably because of my fear of abandonment. So when they leave I am left devastated.

People are shit, and shitty people are bad... and the fly-by-night transactional relationships that seem to be the way of the day are depressing and if you're already depressing I imagine it is worse.

But some of us have never been in a relationship... some of us don't get dates... and that is pretty horrible too.
