I know the method of Sepukku is very extreme, messy, long and painful and most people wouldn't consider it and I understand why. But I'm determined to use it as my way to CTB. From the very first moment I had thoughts about CTB almost a decade ago Ive always wanted the method to be some form of self inflicted stab or slash with a blade. It's only recently I've learnt of the much more formal (and successful) ways of doing it rather than simply sticking a knife in and remaining concious for hours.

A swift thrust of the mid-short blade into the stomach with a cut to the left and right to cut any major arteries and a slash up and down to allow the entrails to spill out. If the arteries are cut then death by blood loss should be quick. If I fuck it up I always have the backup plan of going for the heart or throat.

Engseppuku

This is the way I'm so determined to go, a painful and messy death to truely show just how dedicated I was to CTB. Yes I'm aware of the pain and I'm still willing. I need to source the perfect blade and I'll be set. I wish to do it outside in a small treeline not far from me, somewhere I always hung around for most of my life.

I could argue there are a much less messy and more peaceful and effective methods but ctb is a personal decision. Looks like you are set on your method and have done your research so I wish you all the best in your plans. I hope your decisions lead you to your peace whatever they may endup being.

Yeah I can't say this enough, I've learnt about sepukku quite a bit myself but the sheer mental will and determination to do it is next level.

Have you ever dealt with any severe physical pain?
Just curious

I suppose I see the mess and extended pain as a showing to my dedication in CTB and to show that it is truely what I felt I had to do.

To be honest I don't think I've ever dealt with severe physical pain before apart from what most people go through. I suppose I can't quiet comprehend the level of pain this method will bring but by the time the blade is in me it'll be too late to turn back.
Please remember they also had a person called a "kaishakunin " who helped the person committing seppuku by cutting off their head and helped end their suffering. I'm not sure sure if this method will bring about death quickly.
Yes I have read about that. That's why I aim to cut major arteries with the left to right cuts in the stomach. And there's always plan b of the heart or throat. But I guess a quick death isn't the purpose of this method, more so what it means.

I guess that is a reason that has a deep meaning to you and gives you a peace of mind in your last moments and I respect that. But have you considered just succeeding in other peaceful methods would show your dedication to leave this existence and ctbing? Have you considered the possibility that others might not see what you intended them to and that they might draw a wrong conclusion? Would you still be ok with either outcomes once you are gone? Is it worth induring that immense pain and suffering when you won't be around to witness the aftermath and people's opinions?

Well it seems like you've researched it. Good luck with this. I could never work up the courage for something like sepukku.

as a rule, hara-kiri ended with beheading, because death from hara-kiri is possible only if you reach the aorta, and it is very deep

You need a wakizashi or a tanto to make it work. Also you may not be able to go further with the motion due to pain. like I mean your body will probably stop you from continuing. You will stab yourself but the crossing motions, I'm not sure you'll be able to do. Now back in the old days they used to have someone who would cut your head off to stop the pain but we don't have that anymore (ah I see people brought that up).

I myself wanted to use the female version, basically you take a tanto knife and cut your carotid artery with a single slice. You bleed out and die in minutes. I never got it to work because I never got a tanto.

Yeah it can definitely be a ballsy way to go about CTBing I honestly can't help but admire/respect the Japanese in that way and it's something I've admittedly thought about doing myself but even with having high pain tolerance I don't know if I would even get half way thru without bawling myself out well anyways I wish you all the best luck you're definitely are going to need with this and hopefully in the end of it all eternal peace can indeed prevail endlessly for you.

Now that's a badass way to go out. Good luck with this you have so much more courage than 99% of people to go out this way.
