you just made me cry, i also had a strong bond with my cat and every day since her passing i've missed her greeting me when i entered the house, it was so sweet to see her excited about it and meowing as if speaking to me. she also died of cancer at 13

and as for the subject, i've given this quite a bit of thought, and i want to be cremated, then i hope my ashes will be scattered with the ashes of my kitty in a deep forest, far from society and in a place where this world wont be able to hurt us ever again.

Awe, I'm so sorry for your loss. They truly are magnificent critters. Smart and affectionate.

I think your idea of scattering the ashes into nature is absolutely beautiful. May the two of you rest together peacefully some day. x

I prefer cremated, mainly because of my closeness to fire. Also it should be more cost effective I think.

Natural burial, without coffin, into the wild. No grave.

Cremated because I don't want to rot in the soil. I heard this quote in a movie: "I've spent my whole life in a box, I don't want to be buried in one."

kinda sappy but sums up how I feel quite well...

I like both ideas. I lean more towards burial, I think it is a little bit more sentimental to me because all people I knew were buried, none cremated. I'll be having my own place I won't be able to afford when I were alive, and I belive it would comforts my family a little better knowing they have a dedicated square in the cemetery to visit me. Also crematory is very expensive in where I live, because it is less common.

On the other hand, I love the idea of cremation. It doesn't eat up too much space, it also confirms that I am dead dead, and offers the flexibility to be scatter anywhere in this world.

These brings me to my conclusion: It is up to my family, or whoever arrange my funeral. I dont even care if they put me in mass grave, I'll be dead. Anything on and after my funeral is for the sake of the livings who loves me, and I don't want to make it hard for them for requesting anything I wouldn't even enjoy/benefit from.

My mother passed away from breast cancer when I was three years old. My first memory is of being at her funeral. I wanted her to get up and play with me and someone told me she couldn't because she was "sleeping". The next thing I remember is them lowering her casket into the ground and my three-year-old self worrying that she was going to be cold and also worrying that if I "went to sleep" I would also be buried in the ground. I began having nightmares about being buried alive and to this day I have severe claustrophobia. Therefore, I intend to get cremated.

My plan is to get cremated and placed in a plain urn, and just before they seal the urn, I'm going to ask them to drop the rings my husband and I used in our wedding ceremony into my ashes. Then they can seal the urn with the wedding rings inside. I don't intend to have a memorial or funeral service of any kind, nor do I want an obituary. I just want to be placed next to my husband and then everyone can go on with their lives as if I never existed.

Cremation. I cannot afford a ground burial and it's a way of erasing a mistake I had made in the past.

Cremation. So that my ashes can be spread in a place that I love.
Plus I don't want a body to exist after I'm gone. Total annihilation.

I'm shooting myself naked covered in something savory-smelling and sweet in the forest in hopes scavengers turn me into a meal. My body is a terrible mistake. I'd opt, otherwise, for as fast and complete a destruction as possible--cremation over burial.

Definitely cremation, I don't want to smell in a hole in the ground. Scatter my ashes in the ocean.

Cremation, just because it's going to be cheaper for my kin here in my country. Personally I don't mind either.eventually we all become a part of the ground.
