Well, if im to be brutally honest I don't think this job is even remotely good for my mental health. 80% of the job is just ripping off broke ass depressed elderly pensioners. Were two days into making actual calls and already ive spoken to two heartbroken widowers, countless people who can't afford their surgeries and medical expenses and two ladies who couldnt even get out of their bed. Like if you think youre old, believe me, you're not, ive talked to way too many people from the 1930s over these past two days and im surprised they even know how to operate a phone, or somewhat know how to operate a phone I should say...
I keep getting told to upsell, upsell, upsell, but im not going to be doing that with vulnerable people who clearly cant afford even the most basic of donation options. Were pretty much just as deplorable as those indians that get on the phone and pretend to be with charity organisations or the government.
I've decided im just going to keep going until they give me the sack, whenever that may be.
Also, the hours are fucked and they're only going to get worse when we transition from training to a full time schedule. Im hardly even going to be at home most days.
