• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Holy shit, I just looked out the window. It's actually snowing here. They've been talking about a record snow drought in the NYC. We haven't had a measurable snow event since last March. It looks nice.

The suicidal thoughts never leave. They ebb and flow. Sometimes they are very strong, like when I first wake up. That's the worst time. Otherwise, I don't think about it too much, but if something bad were to happen to me, the urge to end it all would be stronger than ever.

I concentrate on the things that I like in life. The taste of food, cold weather, pretty girls, good movies, sleeping, talking to my family, driving around in my old car.
My father liked working. I remember him telling me he liked to work because he could concentrate on other people's problems instead of his own.

To me or you, it would be boring. He did clerical work for the Department of State. When he retired from that at 55, he was incredibly bored without a job to go to, so he worked another 20 years as head of a mailroom at a large international bank in Manhattan. Again, nothing too exciting, but he loved it.

Did he like that type of role in particular? For example, do you think if he was an electrician or any other occupation entirely that he would've enjoyed work as much as he did? So much so that he'd come out of retirement for it?

Me personally, ive never had a job where I would've come out of retirement for it, or kept working it if I would've won the lotto.

Excellent question. No, he loved what he was doing. He loved to organize things. As supervisor, he could arrange the operation of the mailroom as he wanted it.
He was never a mechanical, handyman type person. I can see the same exact traits in my brother. He is very organized and hates getting his hands dirty.

When did your dad pass away if you dont mind me asking? Was it recent?

I wanna believe there's a dream job like that out there for everyone but statistically speaking it's just not possible which is why I highly doubt things will get better for me.

My father died almost 23 years ago. I watched him walk across the living room floor and just drop. He was having a massive heart attack. I called the ambulance but by the time they arrived, he was dead.

Yes, a dream job is very elusive. Most people despise their work.

Hopefully it wasnt too painful for him.

I think watching my mother die was worse. I don't even want to think about it. That was about 13 years ago.

I think heart attacks are extremely painful, but ( I'm not sure about this) they seem to happen quickly and if they are bad enough, a person dies rather quickly.

Were you closer with your mother or was her death sadder due to the circumstances of her death?

The circumstances were much sadder. She smoked all her life and developed COPD. The many episodes of me having to call an ambulance because she was having a lot of difficulty breathing were terrifying.
At least with my father, it was quick. It's actually how I would like to go.
