Method Cough syrup overdose?

I recently heard of someone who died from cough syrup overdose. It's the first time I hear of this method and I haven't seen any mentions of it here so it's probably not a good idea but I'm still wondering how it could've happened.

Like all medication ODs, it is more likely to fail than kill you. Most people will get sick buy live. A very few people will manage to kill their liver and die slowly and painfully I've a week or two. Do not try this.

In all seriousness, no it won't work. Here's a rule of thumb, if you can get it easily, it's probably not lethal. Cuz this cruel pro-life world would never let us be at rest.
