Cough Drops before SN

So, I have these Mucinex cough drops that when I take them, they like dull my taste buds and coat my throat in this medication so my throat doesn't hurt and I'm considering adding a couple of these to my SN kit. Thoughts? Would it mess up the outcome?

Throat numbing lozenges I assume could help it go down. Keep a few with mine. But I also have oregel and that's much stronger. One before and one after could be beneficial. I've seen other post of people using them.

Plus cough drops can suppress the gas reflex I think. Idk you usually cough before you vomit so maybe, but I'm no doctor.
