Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Might be a controversial post, but I think this very very common line is complete bullshit.

The average person isnt an award winning actor. Yes you did see the signs. Maybe you didnt think they would "take it that far" or maybe you thought they would get over it, or maybe you thought they were joking, but I think people are blatantly lying when they say this (I am sure there are exceptions ofc, not saying its bull for every single person).

One of the reasons why Im writing such a detailed, drawn out note is so that people cant repeat dumb platitudes about me in death.

Honestly, i can kinda agree with you. That being said, i don't think the average person would notice any sort of sign's without experience with fighting off the urge to CTB themselves at anypoint. But there are exceptions like you said. Hope that makes sense, i get where you're coming from though.

I think that some people who say that they never saw the signs are talking about moments or days before their loved ones decide to ctb? because many people have reported feeling more calm and settled when they made the decision to ctb, and some even felt happier because they're now doing something about their lives, even though it's drastic. So when seeing that sudden mood shift, even though some sources do warn that that sudden mood shift IS a sign, most people don't really know about it and just assume that things are getting better for them. I've also thought about my own attempts, and most of my decisions to ctb happen when I'm alone, so it's also possible that it wasn't even possible for people to spot these warning signs.

However, I also believe that most people who intend to ctb almost always leave subtle signs, which is why many people keep spreading awareness about suicide prevention and the warning signs in the first place.

I think there is some kind of denial in these people. Plus there are many reasons why a person would deny the signs. One reason is because the ego of the person comes into play. Say for instance in one example the person flat out doesn't like you. You being suicidal would garner some sympathy, and require a complete change in behaviors towards you. The person's ego will come into play, because their own dislike is based on some justification. To have to now turn that around just doesn't float. Because they would have to analyze those past aggressions. Easier to either point the finger, and accuse, or flat out ignore then go through all that in this example.
Yet "therapists" will often do this also. They have much less reason to, yet still do. That would mean the first instance has a lot of psycho power behind it.
Idk playing head shrink for a minute. I know we all are aware that when first labeled "suicidal" people may work with us. Eventually the "honeymoon" period ends, and we become fakers. Even if we do attempt, we are asked why we are still here. It's always a matter of waiting for that initial honeymoon period to end IMHO. Idk. Just rambling on.
