Method Combining overdose/deep sedation with DELAYED suffocation

I know there is sort of an outdated method of combining sedation with suffocation in a plastic bag. You take the meds and place a bag with elastic closure over your head. Hold the elastic open with your hands so you can breathe. When you pass out, hands drop, closing bag shut around neck. You suffocate while asleep.

My twist on this is to rig a nonrebreather mask with a short oxygen supply. Oxygen runs out when you're DEEPLY unconscious and you die. Also, with a nonrebreather mask no co2 accumulates to set off hypercapnic reflex.

What do y'all think?

I think There's no reason this shouldn't work as long as you make sure you're alone and someone doesn't find you to interfere with what you're doing also good thinking on the CO2 because that's exactly what causes the suffocation feeling which is the mechanism that is relied upon in order for the inert gas method to work because it replaces oxygen without ticking off carbon dioxide cuz it doesn't allow it to accumulate

Is that like a mask for scuba diving? Just curious as I'm unfamiliar with this, when the oxygen runs out then what *are* you breathing, and why would no CO2 accumulate?

Not scuba. It's an industrial mask, for painting, or being around chemicals. No air supply once air runs out. Counting on deep sedation to suffocate unaware.

Co2 doesn't accumulate because the mask has a one way valve for exhalation. That's why it's called "nonrebreather " mask.

I HIGHLY doubt it. Which is why I'm not considering doing this. My idea is an updated version of this, as is explained in the post.

What are you planning on using for losing consciousness?? Do you think Zolpidem is a good idea?

I looked up the nonrebreather , I thought it was a full face mask, are you gonna put a plastic bag over or do you just plan on using the mask and nothing else?

Was going to try to rig up a short oxygen supply to the mask. It's proven harder to figure out than I thought though.

What are you planning on using for losing consciousness?? Do you think Zolpidem is a good idea?

I have about 175 mg valium, 60 mg oxycodone, and trazadone.

Yeah I definitely couldn't do that, do you think that trying the original method with only the normal plastic bag would certainly fail??
