Resource Chat etiquette , what's ok and what's not ? (asking for a friend .... :) )

Hi

I was just in the chat room (?) and I just jumped in and started blabbing and it was kind of nice ....

Then I thought : I remember when I was a lot less confident and not as "extrovert" (albeit only virtually) I was very nervous about chat rooms .

So , I'm kind of sort of asking if anyone has anyone any views / opinions on appropriate "manners" in chat ?

This sounds so silly ... but hey ... it's all zeos and ones ....
