Or even end it here in the lower mainland.

I dunno I think I'm gonna buy 7.5kg of charcoal briquettes tomorrow, a flaming torch, and a metal container or 2.

Is this okay for the torch?

My main concern is how long you heat the charcoal before transferring. You have to transfer it right? You can't just light it in the metal container and leave it there I assume because you want to get to the point that it produces carbon monoxide first? Then once you transfer it, how long before carbon monoxide is produced to a solid concentration (the time you can enter the garage or car)?

I don't currently have a place to do this at but might be able to figure something out soon. I don't want anyone to be at risk of harm other than me, so I'll take whatever time I need to find a safe place to do it in.

I'm pretty set on carbon monoxide, but I'm always open to hearing about other methods. I'm sure I've read about most of them by now.

Yeah it's a really nice place. I skied there many times as a kid. The village covered in snow always looked magical to me too, like straight out of a fairytale. Thank you.

Don't leave me hanging dude. Is there a better method out there or something? For me it's gas or nothing probably.

inert gas is the most peaceful one it seem.
Inert gas is with an exit bag though it seems. I wouldn't be able to use an exit bag because knowing myself I'll pull the thing off right away. Unless there's a way to do it without an exit bag like filling up a room or car with inert gas?

My best chance with my extremely strong survival instinct and need for a painless method is filling up a car or garage with some gas. The only thing is I don't know how often the charcoal CO method fails.

hiii👋,I don't know what kind of environment you're lighting the charcoal in, but from my own experience, you really gotta keep the space completely sealed. I tried it twice in the bathroom and both times it failed because of the vents and all those little gaps where air leaks in. The chance of dying from carbon monoxide poisoning isn't that high on its own. If you combine it with other methods, like some meds or whatever, the success rate goes up a lot

Aw crap. I would maybe do it in an electric SUV. But aren't you supposed to light the charcoal outside (not sure how long you light it for) and quickly transfer it to the vehicle? And then you can get in right away or give it a certain amount of time to build up and then get in?

Hello, I am also in the Lower Mainland and have been making a plan. I have a small cargo van to use. I have been doing research to better understand this method. I think having company would be helpful.

I believe it is pretty reliable and you don't need a perfect seal. I've read stories about incidences where the room/car wasn't sealed and they were successful

I was going to DM you but I can't. I think your account is too new and maybe doesn't have enough posts made to have messages enabled.

Yea sorry I'm still working on that lol. As soon as I can I'll try.

I ended up getting a campfire starter, some charcoal and a CO sensor. I'm pretty much all set, I just have to double check the procedure.
