Chance of success on the first try

What are the chances that a first attempt will be successful? Does anyone know what are the statistics? I do not want to be deluded with self-confidence.

Why did your first attempt fail, if so, and what would you improve?

I think it would depend on what your first attempt is. Some methods are more reliable than others are. I think a shot gun or hanging are the two most reliable methods. It seems everyone is now going with SN and I don't know statistically how many people have survived it.

This is hard to know statistically. We can only know from failed attempts and successful attempts where it is known that the person had seriously attempted before. there may be many successful "first" attempts where they'd actually tried before but failed and nobody knew or the people who knew kept it quiet.

from what ive learned, as long as you follow procedure, the sn is pure, and you arent found/call for help, sn is very reliable.
