So I'm buying 10 of those instant charcoal bbqs, a portable carbon monoxide reader, and a tent. I'll light them all off outside, and wait until they stop burning and emitting smoke before putting them in the tent. 10,000ppm is what I'm aiming for, right? I have a huge disposal of potent benzos as well, I plan to take a few to ease the anxiety. I'm also setting my phone up to send a mass text with my location 24 hours later and possibly a goodbye. Besides sealing up the tent really well and making sure it has a switched floor, am I missing anything? I really need to make this work, I can also purchase some strong nitazenes to mix with the benzos just to be absolutely sure, but I'm not sure if that's necessary.
But will you be able to stand the heat or will the CO be so concentrated that youll be gone in a couple of minutes?
Trying to load a pic. It's reqdy
Ready
I'm hoping I jus pass out sans horrible headaches an such. Couldn't by sleeping
Are the coals still too hot? I thought there shouldnt be any glowing just grey
Hi first time poster. Would like others opinion on whether they think this would work. 8 chimney starters with weber briquettes in 4 buckets managed to get it to 8200 ppm which it maintained for the whole 6 hour test!!! View attachment 106480View attachment 106481View attachment 106482
Hi in the second photo you put foil half way over top of the buckets is that to reflect the heat to make the space more comfortable?

Ive done quite a bit of research on this method now But i have a question Instead of a using a chimney starter and a grill/steel bucket or mixing chemicals why not just use four supermarket disposable BBQs placed on bricks in my car (water tray underneath maybe tiles as heat blocker) which i have completely sealed Would that not do the job? I have read loads of media reports of people who have successfully done ctb with only one disposable BBQ Am i missing something? Is there a downside to my method? Thanks

Help me to see if is something wrog that i need to fix.

ITEMS AND INFO:
1. 3kg of charcoal
2. barbecue grill
3. bricks
4. electrical tape or silver tape
5. adhesive tape
6. paper and cooking oil
7. pack of ice

A bathroom with 8 cubic meters.

METHOD:
The first thing I'm going to do is seal the ceiling of my bathroom using adhesive tape because it's easier to remove later and doesn't damage the property, the tape should cover the entire ceiling, I need to do this because the ceiling is one of those that are pieces fitted together made of pvc. In sequence I will fill a bag the size of my torso with ice and leave it in the freezer, I will use the bag to cover my body and avoid the heat of entering the bathroom.

The next step will be to light something around 3kg of charcoal using paper and cooking oil on the barbecue, I will do this indoors near a window, because I live in a building. When all the coals are lit and the fire is out, I'll move the grill into the bathroom on top of the bricks, then I'll come out of the bathroom and seal the door with electrical tape or silver tape and wait for the CO levels to rise. I don't have a CO meter or money for one that can do the job, so I used AI to figure out when to go into the bathroom.

According to Gemini, under these conditions, the CO levels will reach between 10.000ppm and 15.000ppm in two hours. I would use those two hours to drink a little bit of alcohol and mentally prepare myself to face the fate, maybe even look for someone here to talk to. After two hours and 10 minutes waiting, I'm going to grab the bag of ice, I'm going to take the tape out off the door, quickly enter the bathroom and breathe, hoping a lot that it will work out. Tell me if i'm missing something important. Thanks.
I'm only using 3kg of charcoal because it seems to be suficcient and much charcoal may produces unbearable heat. Tell me if i'm wrong.

So as soon as you put the grey coals into your car you would need to then get into the car yourself or the CO will go out when you open the door. Is that correct? And then no idea how long it would take from that point.

I also think it's not possible to seal up a car, the area under the dash is not sealable.

On another related subject there have been a few recent reports of people leaving their cars running all night and it killing everyone in the house. These are cars with catalytic converters too although who knows if the exhaust systems were intact without holes.
Towels?
Did you follow the guide ? What kind of coal did you use (briquette or lump coal) and what kind of BBQ? Did you seal the car from the inside, including the ventilation, air conditioning, area around the pedals ?
What Guide?

I have a smaller SUV. Should I line the entire interior with trashbags? I could close off the dash completely. It'd be like a tent made of trashbags, inside my vehicle.
I think towels would be better thats what i plan to do

This is my method too, charcoal in the car; I've read through this a lot, lining with towels, lighting several briquettes.

Is the reason people don't use the small propane tank is because of fire hazard? That was my method originally I bought a while back before I learned about the briquettes which I have ready now and I just want to make sure I'm doing it right before I take my car and find the definitive location for my final moments.
I know there is a fire hazard with both obviously I don't personally care too much about that for myself if I'm in a remote enough location to not affect others although it's ideal to avoid it for that reason; as I've seen others use the briquettes method successfully to ctb without starting a fire.

I'm just wondering any differences or reasons I should know before I ctb. I'm just getting things ready now, I'm way past ready to hop on that bus.

I'm thinking the propane heater may be easier and quicker? Do I need a reader? I'm pretty sure it will work within a few minutes based on the ppm output in that time frame in the small enclosed space of my vehicle. Probably going to be next week around this time, running out of time to get things ready. Any replies welcome, hope it still works

Propane heater is better or butane heater? I was trying to get a gas heater in India, it was butane based. It would use two cannisters of butane. I was not sure if it'll be sufficient to produce enough CO to CTB
