The same thing happened with PM's a while back and it's been the same since. Hopefully it's only temporary as more then just the game threads will be effected.
You can make a spare google account and upload things to pics/drive/Picassa (whatever its called) then share them, but that's just a workaround.

Yes just noticed this problem also.
Presumably due to the new server change and hopefully temporary.
