It's extremely difficult to pull off. Most people instinctively tear the bag off if they put one on their head.

Full hanging is much better, usually pass out in not more than 30secs. Suffocation = several minutes or even longer.

Yes, you can definetely suffocate with a plastic bag. Asphyxiation doesn't seem to be very pleasant, though. One day I was browsing a porn site and clicked on random videos that were recommended to me at the edge of the screen. One of them was an asphyxiation fetish video where a woman was sealed in a large plastic bag with something like a vacuum cleaner. She was panicking hard for the ~2 minutes it took her to fall unconscious.

I never thought I'd recommend anyone to watch porn lol, but if you want to learn about the process of asphyxiation you can search for these kind of videos. You will see how long it takes, how it can be done and if you could imagine going through a similar procedure. Could be quite educative for you as it gives you an idea what you are dealing with.

A plastic bag and hanging are two very different methods that are difficult to compare. While the plastic bags interferes with your breathing, hanging should ideally compress your arteries / veins in your neck transporting blood to / from the brain which will make you pass out from a lack of oxygen in your brain, not in your blood. That's why you pass out faster from hanging because when the blood flow stops, the oxygen flow to the brain also stops immediately. When you suffocate it will take up to two minutes until the oxygen in your blood is depleted causing you to fall unconscious.

It's practically my method, to keep your hands behind your back you can buy handcuffs, for panic maybe some tranquilizers, for the rest it seems like an easy and lethal method, I'm not so sure for the panic however, I read that the lack of oxygen can give euphoria, it must be the increase in CO2 that gives the unpleasant sensation.

The fact that it exists as a genre of porn, however, makes me think that the lack of oxygen should give euphoria as well or not? Is the fetish really about having panic?

I understood it as a fetish about watching somebody else suffocate and struggle. Though, now that I think of it I believe there is also people voluntarily being strangled etc. But I'm no expert, that isn't exactly my fetish and I stumbled across the topic by coincidence. Perhaps information on this could be found on forums dedicated to the fetish?
I did practice stangulation for a potential partial hanging a couple of weeks back, and the few occasions where I hit the arteries right I did feel a feeling of euphoria. No clue if it feels like that when you are suffocating, never tried it. I guess that is a thing you could practice as well using a plastic bag and progressively keeping it on the head for longer to get a feeling for it.
