Buying a gun sunday

I'm buying a 9mm gun this sunday from a private seller. I was involuntary held recently in a mental hospital for attempted suicide. So a private seller is my only choice. I still have to buy ammo and then plan a time and a date to go through with it. For medical reasons and lack of support my life is going down fast. I need to end it before it gets worse. I have severe derealization disorder. If anyone can give me advice about where on my head i should point the gun. Also if anyone could calm me down with some words saying it will all be over soon...I really need to hear it. I need comfort.

I'm sorry. Have you tried Clozeril? It's super strong but supposedly works. Or have you tried stronger anti-psychotics? Sometimes it takes a while to "clear-up" after psychosis, and the good thing is it seems like you realize your psychotic or that something feels wrong... which actually means your recovery may be easier (because psychosis where someone has insight into psychosis is a less severe psychotic state and more likely to be managed).

Did you drugs before this? Did it just randomly happen? You don't have to say...

Im not in psychosis. I have a disassociative disorder. Of which theres no medication or cure. Its called Derealization.

I'm sorry you were held involuntarily. Those places often make everything worse due to dehumanization and poor treatment.

Im sober. It just happened from a traumatic event. I since have lost all of my family and anyone I can rely on. Im super close to be homeless. So this seems like the only way out. Im majorly depressed too.

You know there are so many organizations out there who say "call 988" and "sanctioned-suicide.net is bad!!!" and "we're here to help! call 988!" and really, when people call 988, the only help is being talked to or being locked up and then billed 50 thousand dollars after being treated like shit and dehumanized for 2 weeks...

So many people I've seen on here who end their lives are close to homelessness. It's this thing that's never talked about among the "Just call 988!" crowd. I'm so sorry, this situation is truly awful and I wish we had worldwide UBI (Universal Basic Income) so stuff like this didn't happen. :-(

please dont shoot on the temples, i once met a man with half his head. he wass fully functional just couldn't move half his body. and take some anticoagulant pills 2h before blowing your head. for 100% efficacy

How did you lose all your family if you don't mind me asking. What pushed you to this point. I feel like we're in a similar situation and I can relate to you heavily. I'm also looking for a way out because I have no one outside my family and my family won't be around forever

I left an emotionally and mentally abusive ex. He convinced them all I was crazy and they all slowly but surely abandoned me. I have no idea how go survive on my own. Ive never been on my own. I feel no connection or happiness. And I feel worthless

Not the temple, never the temple, I thought that was practically common knowledge by now (!) never, ever, ever the temple. Since you did not find the thread I linked for you the other day to be helpful, why not read the guns megathread for more detailed info?

make sure to take some blood thinners just in case. so you'll die quicker from blood lost. as soon aa the bullet touch your skull you'll be knocked out instantly due to the impact. so you won't feel a thing

If 9mm is the only option temple should be best and ammo is important DO NOT use fmj/target ammunition as it's designed for penetration and often leaves an entry and exit wound not much larger than the diameter of the round. Hollow points will enter and disperse their energy in the area. You can dm me if you have any questions or need to talk<3

I Just saw a comment on a video about some shotgun slugs.

this guy said he worked for population control on some national park i guess. he said he shot bears from a helicopter and they all died. he said he used a shotgun slug the cheap ones.

ok so
1. it's a bear which is much more powerful than a human even more so than my head.
2. a contact shot is orders of magnitude more lethal than from a distance.. not only is there much more power but all the hot gasses go into the brain.

this is just another testimony i've seen and other evidence says to me a shotgun slug to the head is not survivable.

just gives me more hope that if i can get the courage to shoot myself i will die which is what i need to do .

I read through about half of the thread. It sounds like you're going through a rough time and it doesn't sound like death is a solid answer yet. It may be worth considering therapy. I have some experience with emotionally abusive / manipulating / grooming partners, it really fucks you up but you can overcome it with time. If you live in the U.S. and have healthcare your healthcare may cover a therapist's costs. Medicaid does.

If you decide to go through with it please do not use a 9 mm handgun. You will likely fail and live with even more problems than you do already.

If you can't obtain other kinds of guns perhaps consider a different method. This forum has many megathreads for different methods. Personally I'm weighing fent + full hanging (or fent + blood choke, if I can figure out how to self administer) vs shotgun with slug in the mouth aimed at the brainstem. Unfortunately, a gun is an extremely painful way to go and you can't exactly take painkillers because you need to aim accurately.
