Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Yeah real life is tough but I'm considering getting an online boyfriend and seeing if it pulls me out of the hole I'm in.
Why not get a real boyfriend instead of an online one? I don't see much of a difference between an online partner and a real life close friend. better off getting a dog in that case. at least the dog will be physically there for you. whatever floats your boat i guess. good luck.

Never had a boyfriend/girlfriend/whatevergenderfriend or even actual friends. What's wrong with that? They're overrated. I'd just go with anime waifus.
Agreed uwu

Why not start by getting to know people really closely. You can't really force yourself into a relationship and love isn't just magically there (most of the time it takes a while).
But wanting to connect and reach other to people and possibly making a/several friends seems like a good outcome to me. If you potentially fall in love - even better.

I've got hurt a few times in my life but in retrospect it only happened because I was so desperate to find someone to be with romantically. Should have just chilled and let life work things out.

Plus there are a lot of benefits to a good friend - for example the relationship isn't going to cut of abruptly because you've fallen out of love/got betrayed. No broken heart as well.

Your worth isn't determined by whether you've had or will have a relationship. A lot of really amazing people have gone their entire life without being in a relationship, and a WHOLE lot of the most horrible people have been in a ton of relationships.

Trust me, it's overrated and nothing like the mental image you have of relationships before you get into one.

I want one too, but given my insecurities and character flaws, it's best that I don't. Whoever I end up with will suffer extensively because of those flaws.

Idk why but I never, ever feel fulfilled in relationships. I just end up breaking people. I have someone but wish he'd just give up because he's great and I know it's only a matter of time before he gets hurt too, by my ctb or otherwise
