  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Black market organ dealers are pretty shady people. They solicit people in order to convince them to sell one of their kidneys. Considering that many suicidal people would be willing to offer all usable organs kidneys, corneas, lungs, liver, blood etc AND aren't looking for payment (only a death under anaesthesia), I'm surprised it's not possible to make this kind of arrangement in some far flung corner of the Earth. People 'go missing' all the time. Am I being naive - is this maybe happening at the moment?

No idea if you'll ever find on the internet any shady organization willing to deal such trade, but please take into consideration, particularly if you're on search for it, that they'd have no incentive at all to stick to their part of the deal once anybody arrived at their place...

Exactly. They either takepeople in third world countries or people on the edge of society that no one will look for. If you have a family/friends that would be alarmed by your sudden disappearance then I doubt that they would do any business with you. They don't want that kind of heat. Also the fact that you willingly sought them out would probably make them think that you are either a fed or a lunatic. Bad idea all together.

That's my fear - I worry that they'd take out your organs while you're alive. I've been trying to think of a way to counter this, but I guess there is none.

But wouldn't it be great? a win win.
We get to die, they get organs.
Our bodies which didn't function well as a whole will have value in parts.
Count me in.

It is a bad idea, as it stands. It's just such a shame that noone can have my organs :(

Maybe there will be a Darknet Market in the far future for that.

Ah well. Why is that so important for you?
I don't know. I guess in the same way that I'm desperately wanting to die, there's someone out there, desperately wanting to live. I could so easily give that to them, if I were allowed to. The wastefulness of it all upsets me.

If the government allowed euthanasia in exchange for organ donation, there would be no shortage of organs for transplants. And people wouldn't suffer horrible ways of committing suicide.

Makes sense. Unfortunately, licensed medical handlers of human organs won't accept it from someone who committed suicide (as far as I'm aware), and if you were to give yourself to the black market it wouldn't go to the needy, but the highest bidder.

Interesting
Surely there must be a black market for organs on websites. Perhaps some suicidal talk to a dealer to propose a deal, but I don't think it's too common. Generally, these people steal the organs of homeless or kidnapped people

This was Jack Kevorkian's argument, they jail him from helping people.

The Chinese government (CCP) test the blood of the people they illegally inter in their "re-education" camps. They have places full of Tibetan Buddhists, Falun Gong practitioners, Muslims and especially Uighurs, because they live very healthy lifestyles and don't drink. They've recently built 380 new internment camps in Xinjiang province alone.
Video footage has been leaked of inmates being executed and having their organs removed for illegal transplant surgery.
When they are shot, they are classified as an "enemy of the state", which is how this is permitted to happen.
Obviously, it's straight up murder and the Doctors providing the surgery are in no way qualified to do such procedures. There's poor hygiene and no aftercare, so both the donor and recipient are likely to die.
As long as there's a shortage of available organs, this vile business will thrive.
Roll on suicide booths.

theoretically tempting, but in practice... got me thinkin' tho. the body trade is pretty much unregulated in the US, plenty of con artists already lining their pockets by tricking grieving families with the 'fine print'. with a little social engineering i bet some of them could be persuaded to.... i'd definitely prefer my organs to be used to save lives, or medical advancement, so if there's no family and the person doesn't care what happens to their corpse, hmm. tons of vids discussing these sketchy corporate cadaver farms, here's one example

I don't think you find the organ dealers, the organ dealers find you.
