Venting Birthday blues

I know this is a stupid thing to get upset over, but my 21st birthday is coming up. I was really hoping to somehow find new people that I could connect to to invite but I've succinctly run out of time. I have a few friends but it's very clear that they do not consider me someone as a close friend at all, and most of them canceled on me last year. I'm depressed. I'm wasting my life and I can't even do it in company. I don't know what to do...

I am also turning 21 in a few weeks (Actually more like a month) but I also will not have anyone to spend it with, so I understand the feeling. Wish I knew of some solid advice to give you but just know you're not alone stranger. I hope it still goes well regardless.

It's not stupid. Twenty one is one of those "landmark" ages. If it's of any consolation, no one that I invited showed up to my 21st. I spent it drinking alone in my room.

People are selfish and don't care, it's not you.

I'm sorry you feel this way. I've never cared much about birthdays, but understand you'd want to do something for your 21st. I'm usually okay knowing I can hang out here on "special" days. I hope you will find a way to not feel so blue on your special day. Happy birthday in advance ️

My 23rd is coming up soon, and I plan on CTB-ing before it. I'm going to be alone on my birthday this year anyway so I get the feeling haha

Happy early birthday. Understandable to be upset. I prefer spending my birthdays alone doing exactly what I want to do and no attention on me and I don't get my hopes up when no one makes it special, I don't like that pressure. So I take it away by celebrating solo. I hope you can do something for yourself to make it feel special
