I know this is crazy but I think birds are slowly saving my life. Anyone else find comfort with the birds? It's perfect for my autistic ass. No talking, sounds of nature, few people, if any, and deep concentration. It has outperformed any modality of therapy or drug type of any kind that I've tried.

Yes, I have developed an interest in birds recently.

I kid you not, I saw a cardinal in person for the first time in my life just a couple of weeks ago, at the age of 39.

I have only ever seen them in pictures.

No, I don't get out much.

Listening to birdsong on YT is soothing, too.

I want to start bird watching. It's nice because it gives you a goal to focus on. If you get into serious bird watching you can take it even further and try to find all the birds you can and keep it in a journal. It gives you a constant life goal to focus on and it brings you outside in nature which is a perfect place to be.

I have loved birds my entire life. As a kid my mom used to induldge me and we'd spend hrs watching the chickens in the chicken coop when I was like four :ahhha:. i visit a park that has a lot of wild water fowl and other type birds. It's very enjoyable hobby.

Yes exactly! It gets my butt outside when I don't want to do anything

Love it! I've joined a couple of local birdwatching groups on FB too and it's been fun learning.
I hope you get to do it more and more! Birds are so cute!

Yesss I have a little window feeder too! I love sneaking up on them and being a bird voyeur lol. They've come to be super chill with me over the past few months

The female cardinals are gorge, but the males are just striking. I always confuse them for tanagers (rare) and get so overly excited each time lol. I saw an immature indigo bunting the other day and that newly made my cry with excitement as I've been hunting one of those little fuckers for some time
