I bought a bunch of mild painkillers (PCM + Tramadol) hoping to use them and slit my wrists. However, after discovering this website and reading some of the threads I realized that it is not that great an idea. So, I am asking if there is a way to commit suicide that is relatively peaceful which can be made even more peaceful using the painkillers I have. Basically, I went through a lot of hoops to get my hands on this and really want to use this (sounds a little petty I know).

So from the opioid mega thread I found Tramadol is too weak and PCM would be problematic as well. So in of itself it's not good to overdose on it. I tried jumping a few days ago but when I was standing right at the edge I completely freaked out and backed off. So that won't work. Maybe under the influence of the painkillers I might. I don't know. Any ideas? I am thinking SN right now mostly. Also thank you Praestat_Mori for the Resource compilation. I didn't know that existed.

If those medications make you fall asleep you could use a plastic bag and rubber band or something similar for asphyxia. You would be asleep so you wouldn't feel anything. I'm not sure on anything more than this though

The body reacts strongly to slowly increasing carbon dioxide levels. Even if you're sedated, the slow rise in CO2 might lead to an impulse to pull the bag off the head.

Other gases it's not the same issue, and a sudden increase in CO2 is different. But from what I understand slowly suffocating on your own breath doesn't really work because of this panic reflex.

That makes sense... I have seen people talking about this method a lot before but I guess I haven't actually heard any accounts of people who have tried it
