Discussion Are you pro or anti gun?

I'm pro-gun for other reasons too (don't like the idea of the government being the only ones with guns) but the main reason is to do with ctb.

I wish guns weren't so hard to get here.

There are over a million defensive uses of firearms per year in the US. (Some estimates much higher, some bad faith lower estimates severely limit what counts as a defensive use, but even those numbers are several times higher than the number of gun homicides per year.)

Guns are the equalizer for defense in violent areas. Single mother living in a dangerous part of a city? You run into the wrong man on the wrong substance and non lethal methods are not sufficient to protect yourself.

With the how dangerous they are, I am anti-gun. I don't give a shit about ctbing. Who cares about that crap when you have people committing mass shootings? I genuinely believe that they should be made illegal to own one unless they are being used for hunting. Even then, there should be a strict process when applying for one for hunting.
